Weight Loss/ Gain thread Dec 2014 - 2015

I wish I took before pictures when I started last year.

But I thought it was again going to be one of those things I try and never finish.

20kg and 7 months later I only had one photo at my brother's wedding as reference to my previously obese ass.

I'm up 10kg again but that is part of my current goals. Gained plenty of muscle mass and of course a bit of fat too. But serious cutting starts in 2 months time again. My goal is 95kg with 12% body fat.

I have to say. Gaining lean muscle mass is a lot more work and discipline than losing some belly fat.

At times I know I am dirty bulking just because I can't actually remember how many calories I have consumed during the day. Then I just pig out in the evening after a workout to make sure I am in a surplus. Certainly Explains the fat I have gained along with muscles mass.

First boxing session of the week done and dusted.

Walked in with a dry shirt, walked out with a wet one.

Fitness is picking up.

Headed back tomorrow for a 6am session, hopefully I won't be too stiff!

In my opninion, when people refer to fat the majority of people think that you refer to fat found on lamb/pork tjop or biltong.

LCHF is really talking about fats that comes from Avocados/nuts etc.

My whole issue with this LCHF bull, people are ill informed and don't know what healthy fats are.

Not exclusively. I get a lot of my fat from meat.

Case in point.

Dude, read that nina teicholz book, The Big Fat Surprise. I just finished it and it clears up a lot of things.

Animal fats including organs are incredibly good. Inuit / Eskimo's survive purely on animal fats and have non existant heart disease.

Polyunsaturated fats are inflammatory. Inflamation increases heart disease risk.

His issue is the sure yet mistaken belief that he knows better than anyone who he doesn't agree with.

No no no, that is untrue and uncalled for.!

My issues is simply that I feel the majority of people on LCHF are sheep who don't know better.

This might not be you guys on this forum, but the majority of people out there.

The name's not Randy, thanks for trying. And your comment is just a weak copout, since you singled out my comment. That means you were talking specifically about me and people on this forum - by extension. So trying to pretend doesn't do your already fragile credibility any favours.
