Weight Loss/ Gain thread Dec 2014 - 2015

@jsheed, how is your appetite after all this exercise? Must be ramped up substantially I would imagine.

So far it hasn't really seem to have kicked in. I'm snacking slightly more, but my big meals still remain the same. I'm guessing it will kick in shortly!

OK, cause for me, all it takes is one medium effort workout and my appetite goes through the roof immediately!! And I would classify boxing / kickboxing type stuff as high effort.

Ok well guys week 1 down and I am going strong :)

Deadmanza
Start Weight: 94kg
Current Weight: 89.7kg
Goal: 80kgs

Haha, nice.

I've managed to go from 79kg to 80.5kg which im not so pleased about, but thats with rigorous exercise and a diet change so maybe I'm picking up muscle...

With the increased exercise, you are probably seeing water retention and inflamed muscle tissue so it's likely not fat gain :) Muscles swell after exercise so that is normal. If anything, you could look at your starting weight as your current weight and work from there. Your muscles being swollen will be the new norm while you are on your boxing training regime.

I also gained some after going on a hike yesterday and drinking as many liquids as I could after. Legs were very fatigued after! And gymmed on Saturday.

@Deadmanza how do u manage to drop 4kg in a week? :wtf:

Anyone looking to have the front page updated -please remember to PM me, I cannot update from the thread, especially when things get busy. Thanks

Got dressed for work, forgot to weigh. undressed and jumped on.

I was 105.3kg - so down .6kg from last week. Without even trying and a chunk of FREY's 78% last night. LCHF FTW!

DC, I have pm'ed you

Insane right? :)

LCHF plus an intense workout each day.

Yeah I get that, just annoying if you choose to base your life on the scale (so I'm avoiding it as much as possible).

I started last week with 3 sessions to ease in. This week I'm aiming for 4 and next week I'll expand to 5 sessions.

From there I'll see if I can manage more, but time wise I may be limited to 5.

Nice, some losses for the week.

Can we get a general motivation discussion going, how do you stay motivated?

Personally I whack up a calander as my PCs background - in there I have to fill in whether I cheated and why. Workouts are also stored here. Keeps me accountable

Will give an update on my weight at the end of the week.

My motivation is simply to get slimmer and fitter to make my hunting more enjoyable. I'm tired of walking many km's every trip and feeling exhausted at the end of the day.

Not to be a downer or anything, but 600g of weight difference could EASILY just be water weight or due to other normal "bodily functions" :p Between yesterday and this mornings weigh in I shed 400g... I did no exercise nor did I watch what I ate. I even ate a stack of crackers last night at 1am.

Of course if you are consistently week on week losing that weight then you must be doing something right. IIRC, Dr Layne Norton (BioLayne on youtube) reckons 1% of your bodyweight per week is a nice and steady pace to lose fat (for normal people who want to keep the weight off permanently).

Thought i would show my progress on the LCHF lifestyle. Started end October at 100kg's. Havent weighed myself now, but will update when i have.

I also started a low carb, moderate fat and protein diet in September 2014. I started exercising 4/5 times a week incorporating weights and HIIT training. Cut out cool drink, sugar, bread, sweets and chips, etc. I was 108kgs when I started and went down to 90kgs before going on holiday towards the end of Dec. I'm on 91kgs now with no exercise and a bit of cheating over the festive season. I'm back on track with my eating and started gym last week so lets see if I can get to my goal of 85kgs

What have you censored with those white squares?!?

Also, well done :)
