Re snacks, my favourite LCHF snacks have always been lindt 85 / 90%, cheese, biltong, or raw almonds / pecans / walnuts.
I've recently started making cheese chips in the microwave, which are pretty good too.
With my 7 day Gym plan, LCHF and a tonne of determination should be possible![]()
A couple of those kgs will go away quick by losing water weight anyway, so around 10 kgs in 3 months is quite doable.
Recipes please![]()
It's very simple!
Take some bakpapier* and put a thin layer of grated cheese on it (most cheeses will work).
Stick it on a plate in the microwave and cook till crispy (my microwave does this in 2 min 30 sec)
Remove and eat or store. I usually do a bit of both at the time!
Notes:
*Also known as baking paper, or parchment paper. Do NOT use wax paper.
Try not to burn yourself when removing from parchment paper.
I arrange my grated cheese in a flat hollowed out circle, it seems to cook more evenly this way.
You can break them up afterwards and store in an airtight bakkie for a week or so.
I like the idea of an incentive based challenges - although this as tough as the big guys generally lose weight faster and some people are here to gain weight, any ideas regarding incentives can be discussed here and as with my first thread I am willing to sponsor a little $$$![]()
That could work. Also is there a time limit on reaching your goal?
Pics I guess?
Perhaps if you wanna be eligible for a "prize" you must submit before pics. Now. Then After pics once goal is reached.
Well guys day 1 down, I must say - STRUGGLING! lol!
Will persevere though![]()
Atkins = high protein, medium fat, low carb
Noakes \ LCHF = high fat, medium protein, low carb
No.
Atkins is high fat low carb.
Afaik Atkins used to promote high protein low carb.
Not correct.
I followed atkins. I was doing about 70/25/5 (fat protein carb).
It was called a high protein diet, but it wasn't. Probably because of all the fear around fat.
Many people believe that the Atkins Diet promotes eating unlimited amounts of fatty meats and cheeses. This was allowed and promoted in early editions of the book. In the newest revision, not written by the now deceased Dr. Atkins, this is not promoted.
You followed a later version of Atkins.

"Eat liberally of meat, fish and fowl"
In my book. Bought before he died.
And?
And 70% of my calories came from fat, based on what was in the book.
