Is it a strained marriage?

Just often wonder when people refer to their SO as "the wife" instead of "my wife":confused: It just sounds distant.
I know, completely OT just one of these things I wonder about while suppressing carb cravings:erm:

She's THE wife, as opposed to any old wife, and using the possessive is just asking for *** ;)

It's a fantastic marriage

I just don't view our relationship as being based on a sense of ownership :p

cool, not my wife as in ownership........but regardless, so when you leaving and for how long? Must be a long trip, doesn't it take a few months of planning and stuff, do you have a thread somewhere, do we even have a travel section here?

fly out on the 12th October for 3 weeks, 13 days of hiking (8 up, 5 down) including acclimatization days, yep been planning and stuff for a couple of months and nope, haven't started a thread

I think you should definitely start a thread, it is fascinating.
Do you mountain climb, where else have you been etc etc so many questions.
Also dibs on your Lexus if you don't get back...

have done some research and there is mobile coverage some of the way, so will try and get a data sim and see what i can do, otherwise some places do have internet access but I'm not sure of speeds
