Weight loss

This is my fifth day. I'm doing it vegetarian. Thinking of using the weekends for cheat meals.

weekends are very tough. might be on the road. and sundays are out. i have lunch by my mother with dessert. so no rebooting!!

isnt the protein in the reboot supposed to come from the meat though?

get yourself a cupcake pan like this

make up an omelette mix and and fill each spot about half full, add fillings of your choice, I make some with ham, some with bacon, some with tomato and cheese, whack in the oven on 180 until cooked. allow to cool and freeze, just reheat in the microwave for a minute or 2, works a treat

Never frozen eggs before :erm: I'll give it a try

My mother sometimes bakes three different sweet things on a Sunday...

Have you heard about the 5:2 diet? It's an intermittent fasting diet. Google it and tell me what you think. I didn't lose any weight on it, but it did teach me control. You will get the naysayers who will tell you that it doesn't work, but plenty of people have lost weight on it. It just wasn't for me.

dieting is a fad, diets invariably fail because they're not sustainable and in some cases are pretty extreme (and there's tons of research on that), constant dieting can lead to long term health implications

any form of diet will invariably work in the short term because you are cutting out carbs, the fact of the matter is that for sustainability you need to change your eating habits and lifestyle

Hmm seems quite interesting. But not something sustainable is it?

It is very. The first two weeks you will probably binge on your feast days, but after about 4 fast days you find yourself eating healthier and counting calories. The best thing about this way of eating is there's no guilt when you do eat whatever you want. Once you lose the weight you have to maintain by fasting one day a week.

This is genius

Must admit I don't like the word "diet" or "dieting". I prefer to call it eating sensibly.

So during the week I eat strictly according to plan. During the weekend I don't eat according to plan but simply make sure I eat sensibly and don't go overboard.

The one thing I have cut out completely is Simba chips. I find if I can stay away from them long enough the craving disappears totally. But the moment I have a pack then the addiction is back instantly.

It actually is a lifestyle change. The 2 fast days create a calorie deficit and it's a sustainable way of losing weight. You then maintain with one day of fasting.

I'm always scared my body then grabs as much as it can and stores it when I eat again...

Does it happen to you that you crave it so badly but when you have it its not as nice as you expected?
It happens to me with choccie sometimes.. Then I regret eating it

Starving yourself is not sustainable :D

You're allowed 500/600 calories on fast days which equals to a lot of salads :D. The diet actually teaches you more about control and most importantly that you won't die if you don't eat :D

It has yeah. I will crave it and then buy a packet but half-way through I will look at it and think wtf this doesn't even taste good and I don't even want to eat it so wtf am I eating it.

I hate you Simba Chippies!

:D

I do eat eggs. I'm thinking of adding fish if I can choke it down :D
