Weight loss

I'm being honest.
I hear so many conflicting reports on so many different foods.
Eggs used to be evil, milk is evil, etc.

I don't know which is right and wrong anymore.

Going but what you folks have said, I should stop eating fruit.

What about the health benefits that you all seem to ignore?

Milk is definitely evil since it comes from cow boobs :erm:

For the cheese - I suggested grilling it as often what you are craving is the crunch of chips or popcorn - this provides a decent substitute.
I'm a low-carber, which means I do not eat ANYTHING that says low-fat on it. On Atkins I'm allowed 90g of (hard) cheese a day. That's a substantial portion ;)

Its a general concensus in this thread that fruit is bad it seems, I do however actually with you here - fruit has health benefits- and I believe belong in your eating regime. Just don't go overboard and eat 5 oranges - as they are really high in fructose. (Fruit sugar) which is fattening

Yes don't stop eating fruit completely. Just cut down. They aren't free food that you can eat as much as you like. Veggies also have health benefits... Try substituting fruit snacks with veg snacks.

I find papaya and pears good fruit to eat, personally.

ive been looking for snacking alternatives. used to have mango strips and dired apple. but after reading the stupid nutritional table it seems high in carbs and sugar. i know biltong is fine.

what else do you guys snack on?

Personally, cheese, biltong or macadamia nuts. With the ketogenic diet though I don't often feel the need to snack.

I'm having coconut, dates, almonds and lindt chocolate.

I think the danger comes in where you "reward" yourself.

eg: "I ate well today therefore I can eat lindt"

This snowballs and you end up rewarding yourself too often. My experience anyway. Luckily I have monsterous will power so I find it pretty easy to resist temptation.

Oi! OMB said we could have the whole slab :p
I only have 2 pieces a day though starting from last Friday
. It's not hindering my weight loss at all. Clothes starting to get loose.

Lindt 90% is not a reward and can assist with weight loss. It has only 3% sugar for the whole slab plus the benefits of the dark chocolate cocoa. It is great if you can get over the bitterness.

Fruit and veg have pitted dates on special, I combine them with walnuts for a snack, but I have an issue with moderation, so best I leave them.

How does lindt assist with weight loss?

My wife also said Dark chocolate aids in weight loss.
She proceeded to eat a slab of Bournville every other night.
It didn't take long for her to realize the error of her ways.
