Had my last beer last night...

This is so true, I been going to gym for years but never saw results. Fix my diet and the weight dropped.

Gymming for years did squat for my pot belly. Fixed my diet and after 8 months it was gone.

Now to make sure I keep up with it this time :o

And you're arguing with my opinion...?

some people in this thread couldn't be bothered with the science, the established doctrine reigns supreme, those that have got something out of our posts do seem to be having success, so I'd rather focus on helping them

This is a m03r of a long thread to read, so I havent...:p

I just came to share: I've lost 14kg in the last 3 months using the Keto diet, exercise and smaller portions(tho by no means small).
I've gone from 126kg down to 112kg and I'm losing a steady kilo a week now. Ive got another 12 to 15 kg to go before I'm happy.

I do cheat once every second week or so in the form of beer, but I try and be good and only have 2.

Nope the sad thing is that quite a few of us would love to be a few kilos heavier :D

To some extent doing what works for you is right.. But tbh nobody I know lost weight by exercising.

Maybe get someone to look at your meals/lifestyle and see where you are going wrong.

I can be your first then!
Hi..pleased to meet you, I lose weight (18kg so far) by exercising and recently eating LC (but not HF) lifestyle :)

I can't do what Sinbads and others do, would be

Mine and Drew's stats did improve as well ;)

But I'm here for some motivation not for d***swinging or bitch fights and I'll keep to what works for me.

I'd have to run for 32 hours on a treadmill to lose a single kg of fat. That's at least an hour every day, for one month, for one kg.

It's good for cardio health though, but not really losing weight...

How much difference do you think exercise would make to a person who is an emotional eater and doesn't consciously decide to change their eating habits but starts exercising regularly?

Hardly any.

Not much tbh. Diet for weight loss. Gym/exercise for strength/stamina.

And 8 cats, 4 donkeys all named Nigel, stress from work because the canteen lady is plotting to have you murdered, and an over-active thigh (the right one).

Please and thank you...

If I swim , squash and do my early morning 4km walk, combined with healthy eating = weight loss.
If no swim, walk or squash plus healthy eating = weight stable.

Re treadmill for 32 hours, nah. current research shows that high intensity exercise for a couple of minutes a day will benefit weight loss more than hours on the treadmill.

Maybe the regular exercising will lead to improved moods, higher energy levels, more self-confidence and a better relationship with food.

or more likely the exercising will result in even more binge eating... "I'll work this off at gym later" or "I ran 2km, I deserve this large cake"
