Weight loss

Some carbs in terms of? Bread and stuff like that? I get quite a few carbs from green veg, onions and stuff like that. Even macadamias.

I know, just discussing with you :)

But under 50grams :D If I remember thats the limit for ketosis.

I follow the eat clean and in moderation diet - generally dark green veg, white meats, eggs and oats/salads and the occasional fruit. I never say to myself I "can't have something" I believe that kind of mindset creates pressure and a greater chance of completely breaking down and reverting to unhealthy eating patterns.

I don't think milk is (or should be) a large part of your diet. It's not natural IMHO.

Agree 100%. It makes absolutely no sense that people drink milk at all. Might as well say we should eat regurgitated insects if that's what mommy birds feed their babies...

Also, how is substituting milk with cream making it any different, besides the fat content or whatever it is people are after. If you can have cream you can have milk.

The carb count of milk is higher than that of cream , I think.

It takes a minimum of 14 days, sometimes even longer to adjust. I doubt you were even in ketosis.... If you were you would have lost a lot of water weight as you emptied your glycogen stores.

Gave it 3 weeks, didn't work for me, great that it does for you.

Meh, I still have over 40kg of fat to dispose of, whatever healthy lifestyle I choose works, there is just so much to work with, that as long as I maintain a healthy, clean living lifestyle, I lose weight :(

Well no-one will die from cutting out either one.

If you look at leaving milk out of coffee and cereal etc. its completely sustainable.

Yeah, I'm also like that, except a bit stricter on the carbs. I don't really miss it since what I prefer is the protein/fats.

Sigh...

Quite a bit.

You'll die either way, that isn't the point. The point of the cream is that it's high in fat, low in carbs, and makes the coffee taste better.

What's the problem?

Insects are a great source of protein

TBH I try and avoid carbs as much as possible but don't avoid them like the plague :p Studies have also shown that people who have more calcium lose more weight I think so milk is fine in moderation.

I'm pretty much the same... however I did see progress, then I ate carbs, and the weight ballooned, have to be perfectly strict.

This thread is motivation..

How much of the calcium in milk does one's body absorb?

Lets describe our average day, food wise:

Morning:
Oats (1 spoon sugar, some milk) or 2 x Fried eggs + Beans
Banana
2 x coffee - No sugar, some milk

Lunch:
2 x coffee
Mixed salads with chicken
Or savoury dish without rice/potatoes. (This could be anything from roast chicken to curries) with veg

Dinner:
Chicken/ Pork chops/ lamb chops
Stir fry veg
Occassional protein shake if I am working out

Around 2x litres water per day
