What comes after the Storm?

Sigh...

I've gone on a phone frenzy the 1st half of 2009 - went from a Palm Treo to an iPhone, back to a Palm Centro then to a BB Curve, Nokia E71 & SE Xperia X1 to a BB Storm...

And I've found fault with EVERY last one... The last one (Storm) I had issues with the service provider - MTN and unsupported BB handsets!

I know I'm a perfectionist, but what's a gadget freak's next (super)phone?

The only high end phone I haven't tried is a HTC Touch HD, but I had a Touch Diamond last year, thought it would be more of the same...?

Should I wait for the new iPhone? Storm2? Touch HD2? Palm Pre?

hmm i feel your pain ... i went through a similar phase last year ...
looking at what you went through i would suggest rather waiting for the N97 due next month ?!? i doubt you gonna get better than the current HTC range ... i wouldn't mind trying out the storm though looks pretty cool. i'm growing tiresome of my 5800xm and also might just wait for the N97.

I'm feeling pretty bad about the sum of my problems - up north peoples are a'starving and I'm talking cellphpones!

But getting off my soapbox...

I'm just thinking - if the Palm Pre takes off, then next year we'll see Nokia, BB, HTC and the rest ALL with phones with bottom sliding qwerty keyboards! Big screen AND physical qwerty KB! Can't wait!

A friend of mine suggested something the other day - if you want to check out a phone, you have to either go to VodaWorld and hope they have some live phones on display... Or maybe get someone with the phone you want and buy him/her a cup of coffee on the condition you can play with their gadgets! Anybody out there with a HTC Touch HD that wants a free M&B bottomless cup of coffee?

Ive used them all and still havent found the one thats most suited to me.
I really enjoyed the Touch Diamond when it came out, but after a while got confused again.

There are new exciting phones coming out... HTC Dream, Magic and the Sony Ericsson Symbian, The new iPhone...
The E75 is the same as any other Nokia, E71 with a slide... yawn. The N97 might be something new... I hope it doesnt disappoint.
Im looking foward to the W995 im getting next week... but still nothing, I really really want....

chris2.0, most people cannot be satisfied with any phone for long - no matter the specs - because most people choose not be satisfied byond a personal satifaction threshold. The problem is not with the phones ... it's with us. Our desires change constantly ... a well exploited fact by those making and selling stuff for profit. The X1 becomes the X2 becomes the X3 becomes ...

Silence and peace comes when one realises that chasing after the latest and greatest is self-destructive ... one's playing right into the hands of those selling "stuff", falling for empty promises, and throwing good money away.

That's true... At least I'm not buying the phones new at dealer prices! My secret - I have a R100 pm gadget fund - so at least once a year I have about R1000 cash and my old phone to swop for a new(er) one...

Think I'm going to revert back to my Palm cellphone and just wait for the $%^& Palm Pre! Anybody wants to offer me something for the Storm? Or trade for a Touch HD?
