So I got my adsl installed yesterday, its a 4mb line at 1st there was no internet access on my pc but there after I got access so the internet was on for about an hour after that the green blinking light disappeard from my telkom huawei modem and only the adsl green light started blinking I was not picking up any internet access from the line so than I called telkom I exaplained them the problem the guy says it cant be an exchange problem cause if it was than the light on my router will be red. So he than advised me to pull out the little cord from my black ac out and plug it into the main grey box (where the dsl splittler is plugged) so after 5 mins the internet was back on he than told me it could be that my ac is faulty or a signal problem and i should go return it I said fine i will do that today.. the internet stayed on I downloaded say about 7gigs with my night surfer last night I woke up this morning only to see that my internet connection (the green light) is gone again and the adsl light only flashes so I switched of my router and put it back on, same story adsl just blinks and no internet access I did it say about 5 times and than suddenly the adsl light flashes fast and stays still and than my internet is back on this was when it was connected where the dsl splitter is so to see if my ac was faulty i than plugged it out from my grey box and put the cord back into my ac in line out the internet comes on again after roughly 3 minutes and as I type this the internet is still on it came back on from 1 and its still on, so when I called telkom today I chose tech department the guy said my number doesnt belong to me and he cant log a fault so he said I should get a new number in the sales department so after waiting for half an hour I get through to the department and the lady tells me that my account is not actually active as yet its still only an application and the tech who came to my place yesterday logged a case to check the cabling and signal etc at my area which he did not inform me about the guy just didnt show any interest at all. So the lady said they going to run tests and check my exchange and if my area is able to receive 4mb (the tech told me my area is up to 10mbps) I checked my direct address on the telkom site it showed me 4mbps copper and my line has been syncing at 4mb everytime the internet came on sorry for the long story but what do u guys honestly think the problem is? Did any of u experience this before?

Sounds similar to my problem. Modem light just goes red then I reboot it and it fine again. Other times, some sites won't open for no apparent reason.

This should be easier to read, restructured/removed/tried to clarify a lot of it.

So I got my adsl installed yesterday, its a 4mb line. To being with there was no internet access on my pc, but there after I got access to the internet it was on for about an hour. After that the green blinking light disappeard from my telkom huawei modem and only the adsl green light started blinking. I was not picking up any internet access from the line, so I called telkom and I explained to them my predicament. The guy said it cannot be an exchange problem due to the light on my router being red instead of green.

I was then advised to pull out the little cord from my black ac and plug it into the main grey box (where the dsl splittler is inserted). After 5 minutes the internet was back up and he then told me it could be that my ac is faulty or a signal problem and I should go return the router.

After replacing the router, the internet stayed up and I downloaded ~7GB with my night surfer last night. I woke up this morning only to see that my internet connection (the green light) is gone again and that the ADSL light only flashes. I then proceeded to reboot my router, but had the same issue as the modem before. After a couple of tries the internet came back up and it staid like that for a while. This was while it was connected with the dsl splitter in in order to see if my ac was faulty.

I then plugged ?the AC? out from my grey box and put the cord back into my ac in line out the internet comes back up again after roughly 3 minutes. As I am typing this the internet is still on it since it came back on at 1 o'clock. So when I called Telkom today, the help-desk support said my number doesn't belong to me and he cannot log a fault. Therefore I should get a new number from the sales department. After waiting for half an hour I got through to the sales-department and the lady tells me that my account is not actually active as of yet. It is still only an application and the tech who came to my place yesterday logged a case to check the line in my area, of which he did not inform me.

The ?technician? just didn't show any interest at all. So the lady said they are going to run tests and check my exchange in order to see if my area is able to receive 4mb (the tech told me my area is up to 10mbps).
I checked my direct address on the telkom site and it informed me that my line speed is 4Mbps (Which is confirmed when the internet is up).

Apologies for the long story (,terrible sentence structure and lack of paragraphing), but what do you guys honestly think the problem is? Did any of you happen to experience this before?

A sentence that is 3 lines long. Wow.
Commas are also useful. And spelling.
Just so you know, than is spelled then in the context you are using it.
The bold part I cannot understand/correct.
You can actually use three letters to spell you, this is a forum and not an SMS, substantiated by the fact that you could write a wall of text.
Please, you do not need to use "so" all the time.

Just re-read your text after you write it and assume the viewpoint of having to read it for the first time before posting it.

@Johnatan56 well done.

Sounds like it could be an authentication issue after the line drops.

Uhm, If you can simplify that and send it to me via PM (with paragraphs), I can maybe assist you.

I found two periods but they were actually meant to be used as ellipses, just one short.

Eish!!! reading that lot, my poor inserts are killing me :(
