Thanks for that.
Will see what they have to say.

You win, Q87M-D2H?
It has one less old PCI slot, replaced by a new PCIe slot and it has 6 x SATA 6Gb/s instead of 4 x SATA 6Gb/s and 2 x SATA 3Gb/s.
You are getting a better board.
Yes it's the Q87M-D2H.
That's one good thing to counter the bad luck.
Yeah agree.
Now just to hopefully find a way to make the case work.
I hope you can exchange it for something similar or find cables that are more "bendy".
I Googled "Air 240 GPU" just for the hell of it and found a plethora of people complaining.
Yeah first prize would be to find "bendier" cables as I said this case is perfect.
I'm still trying to understand how others have fitted he GPU in without any problems.
If you check a lot of the first pages are GTX 970's with a width of 114mm your card is 126.5mm.
I found this which might work for you:
BitFenix Alchemy Multisleeved 6-Pin PCI-E Video Card Extension Cable
Ahhhhh... That sucks.
Yeah I did see those in white earlier but not sure if they work with non-modular PSU's? If I can find something that can be squashed or even better at a right angle and connected. If that will work with my PSU then I need to know how bendy they are.

They will work with any PSU, you just plug your current cables into them and then into your GPU.
Does this look like it would work for you:

Just read through a majority of the posts (well first couple pages and then 15 most recent pages). A lot of people are using 980's but those must then be shorter maybe?
I wonder if I don't just order those sleeved cables and hopefully hey can be pressed flatter than the hard wire connectors you get standard on the PSU.
I won't lie, I'm a little sad at the fact I might not be able to use the case - it looks amazing in real life and the size is great.
That could possibly be my only choice. Not sure what other choices I have?
You are between a rock and a hard place, but from the pic I posted they look like they have smaller connectors and because each wire is sleeved you can really bend them around the card and that might be enough to make it fit.
GPU's vary a lot, take the MSI GTX 980, it's 279mm long and 140mm wide, compare that to the Gigabyte GTX 980 299mm long and 114mm wide, one is 2cm shorter and one is 2.6cm wider.
Yeah. I suppose I just need to do some investigation and then decide what to do. If the connectors are shorter on the sleeved ones, I don't see why it won't work. I also don't mind if it touches the cover aslong as there no bulges.
The bad thing is there's no way of knowing without having the cables, it looks like you almost need just another half a centimeter to have it fit.
So Rebeltech can't help me but did send a company that might make custom cables. Have sent an email and will hopefully hear back from them. Other than that the only other option are the braided PCI-E cables and if those don't work I'm out of options.
