Exactly. It also helps that I have my own company and work from home :whistle:

On a side note, with regards to the fan power connector I noticed I don't need to get the expensive white sleeved one as all the fan connectors can run to the back and can't be seen so can maybe save some cash there too. Just need to find a normal one and see if it is cheaper.

I'm sure you can find them at any of your local PC shops, just ask for Molex to 3 pin.

Just waiting for Rebeltech to confirm a full refund will by given once they receive the credit note from the supplier then will in the meantime order from Wootware.

I think that's the best idea, most PC shops would probably charge R40 per cable and then it's just one fan, with this one you get three and the one on the motherboard.

Yeah agreed. Just going to order them. Only one missing is the CPU power, couldn't find the white sleeved one.
 
So placed the order this morning for the Powercolor R9 380X and then the 4pin molex to 3 pin for fan power. I decided to wait on getting the other white sleeved cables until I can get them all (they didn't have the CPU power cable). Should hopefully have the new GPU end of this week (hopefully sooner).
 
So the new GPU arrived this morning and have fitted it already and installed all drivers. Busy running Unigine to make sure all is OK. Any preferred settings ect that anyone can recommend for this card or should I just leave everything as default?

On a side note, the side panel closes perfectly :D

Last issue, for some reason, when I connect to the internet, the speed is terribly slow, most of the times the connection would just fail. I thought maybe was the USB WiFi device I have but tried another one (that I know works) and get the same problems. When I move the PC next to the modem it works great. The new PC is in the exact same position as were my MacBook Pro sits and that gets full internet speed so I can count out a dead zone. Do you think the USB device I am using is to weak maybe? This is the one I am currently using: TP-Link

Congrats on finally getting it sorted! :D

Regarding the internet issue can't you just connect an Ethernet cable? Trying to play online games with a dongle like that is probably not a great idea anyway. If a wired solution is not an option I'd get a proper internal wifi card with external antennae.

Yeah its about time :D

With regards to connection, we are currently in the phase of building our new house and in the office there will be direct cable connections so this was just meant to be a solution until June/July which clearly is not working. I have now ordered this: Netgear Universal Wifi Range Extender

I will then connect my PC directly to that using ethernet cable - that should work hey? Then when we move to our new house, I will use it else where.

On another side note - how should the fans be setup in my PC case? I have the Air 240 and it came with three fans and I have left them as is. Two in the from and one one the top - is it OK to leave them the way they came?

Well hot air rises so it should probably be the best configuration to leave them as is, the front two will blow air in and the top one will suck hot air out.

Now on to the Wi-Fi, what does it say if you check the status of the connection, speed and signal quality?

I must check to see if the front 2 blow air in and if the top sucks out. Will check and confirm later.

Onto WiFi - well the signal shows like half strength signal (in the taskbar). It says it is connected to private network which is correct. It is as if the signal is too low for it to connect to internet but as mentioned, my macbook literally sits onto of the pc at my desk and on my macbook I get full signal.

You need to open Network and Sharing Center, click the connection name and it should show something similar to this:

OK will have a look a little later and post the results as it is connected in the other room downloading updates etc over ethernet cable now.

Would the Netgear Range Extender work tho (I linked a coupe of pets back)? Will use it to give me ethernet connection so don't have to worry about this WiFi dongle.

I think the Netgear should do the job and you can repurpose it for something else when you are hard wired, instead of the more expensive adapter I originally recommended which would have gathered dust.

Lets hope it's as easy as just switching the Wi-Fi Channel or Channel Width before you spend more money.

So I did what you asked and attached the results:

That speed looks very slow.

I have already set my WiFi channel to 11 hoping that would help but still the same. Anything else I could try?

Could you change the channel to 6 and see if it all possible to change the channel width to 40MHz, also download the driver from TP-LINK and manually install it and reboot.
