Look how much further the sapphires pcb/fan shroud extends past the backplate that you attach to your chassis.

Yeah I figured out after that I was looking at the wrong thing. I am pretty confident the Gigabyte card will fit the Air 240 without any problems so now its just another wait game.

Just got an email from RebelTech this morning saying the GPU has been sent to the suppliers this morning for testing (long weekends
) etc so now the wait continues. Hopefully they get to it quickly. Have already told RebelTech I'd like to purchase a different one from them so will see what they say.On a side note, I see Wootware are running quite a few specials on GPU's at the moment - any there you think I should rather look at?

The PowerColor R9 380X from Wootware is actually very very well priced, I think that's the cheapest R9 380X available anywhere right now, it's clocked faster than the Gigabyte and it seems to be even narrower at 111.2mm vs 114mm. I just checked a bunch of reviews for the PowerColor and it seems everyone agrees it has the best cooler of any 380X.
It costs R525 less than the Gigabyte and you receive a free game that costs R489 currently on Steam.

It really is tempting, that's pre Rand crash pricing and you get a DX12 enabled game, it's almost clocked at the same speed as the Sapphire Nitro while running even quieter and cooler, it's slightly longer but still well within range of the Air 240 case and much narrower so there's no way it will touch the side panel.
If RebelTech refunds you and Wootware have stock I would rather buy the PowerColor in a heartbeat.
OK great, I will wait to hear what they say and then request a refund. Hopefully will hear something soon and that Wootware still have stock so I can purchase the Powercolor. It will be so great to be able to close the side panel too
I think I deserve a little luck from the bad luck I have had the last few weeks when it comes to PC's...

If the GPU gets sorted and you can buy the PowerColor it's not all bad, you will then have a better motherboard and a nicer GPU which fits into the case you really like, all while saving some money.

Speaking about motherboards; the new one I got only seems to have one fan connector on the board itself. My problem is I have 3 fans in the case. Are there any cables I can connect to my PSU to give power to the fans?

That's really weird, it does look like it only has one for the CPU fan and one system fan.

I am going to look if I can find some for the GPU power and also the main power cable (the long one that connects to mobo) to give the pc a nice clean look. I doubt there will be one for the CPU power but worth a look. Just to confirm, these will connect to the original cables on the PSU and then plug into mobo and GPU? I won't loose any power etc?

6 Pin (will need 2 so a little pricey)
System Fan
Don't need SATA power as you don't see those but will need white SATA data cables (X2) but they are also quite pricey so might give those a skip for now.

Yes all of those connect to the current PSU cables and you then feed them through the ports in the case, you don't lose anything, and if you get the PoworColor GPU it has a backplate with R9 380 series written on it and in the future you said you wanted to look into water cooling, at the end of the day your case will look similar to this, just in white:
So the GPU has been tested and is faulty so they are sending it to Sapphire and then requesting a refund.
So in the meantime I will order the Powercolor from Wootware and the extra cables.
