What to do?

SO I have narrowed it down to the MB and or CPU.

Now here is the situation,
My GPU is 100 percent and very good.

I just purchased this https://www.aerocool.com.tw/en/psu/value-series/vx-700w yesterday so need to take that into account when buying new kit

I also purchased DDR3 ram yesterday which I could exchange for DDR4 (Esquire)

So where to ?
Do I try find a second hand board and processor? i7 ? Was offered this :Z77X-UD3H MB, I5-3470 Processor and GSkill Sniper 2x8GB F3-1866C9D-16GSR DDR3 RAM


Do I go for a new i5 with board? If so then what do you recommend?
As I said its surfing / downloading and playing movies and playing WOWs.
2 x monitors connected.

What you've been offered will suffice for what you plan on doing, but what is your budget? How long do you plan on using it for?

I guess thats the big question, I would not like to have to upgrade again soon but if I stay with something so old I will probably have to?
Budget is about 4 k for processor and MB, maybe a little more

On phone right now but check out the asrock h110 mb from rebeltech for R700 odd, i5/i7 from PotterH on his clearance sale thread over on carb and swap out the ram you purchased. Should be well within your budget and you have the piece of mind that it is all new with warranties. Is the R4k just for mb&CPU or mb,CPU&ram? If its mb&CPU only then I think you can get the i7 7700 in your budget. Personally that's the route I would go.

No problem. If you can test that 2600k of yours you can flog it on carb, the i5 2500k still sell for like R1k-R1.2k on Carb so yours will get more and that's a substantial recuperation on your new build!!!

Edit: Your old ram is also good so flog that as well.
