What was your first car?

Datsun 120Y 1978 - was white when my Grandad bought it first but over the years turned into cream. Also had a new set of "pleather" blue seats. Her name was Urms... :)

82 Ford Sierra 1.6 GL in London. Almost took out a patrol cop car down a narrow lane after '1 pint' in North London. Circa 1998.

Got a VW Jetta Fox from my bedridden grandmother. Don't remember the exact details but the car was a couple of years old with around 7000km on the clock.

What I do remember is rolling it down Harrow road, late on a wet summers night, after a few whiskies too many! Basically parked the car upside down against a tree.

Was fortunate to walk away from that without so much as a scratch. I got out by crawling through the now missing windscreen.

Couple of traffic officers arrived soon after, one asked me if I had been drinking, I said I had, he told me to shut up immediately as his partner would lock me up. Forever grateful to that officer.

I still drive my first car. A 2013 Suzuki Swift 1.4 SE. I will be upgrading to a German car soon.

1965 VW 1300 Beetle - with a 1600 Sport engine in it, one year old when I bought it. I drove the Cortina GTs crazy when I dropped them at the traffic lights!!
Great car - only sold it when I upgraded to one of the very first Audi Super 90s in 1970.

1994 Mercedes Benz W124 E220.
Bought in 2013 with around 250,000km on the clock, and had an accident after 30,000 problem free kilometers. Wasn't badly damaged, but insurance preferred scrap it.

My first car was a 1985 VW GTi MK2 1.8i.
It was Grey in colour and was the most unreliable car I ever owned.
