What was your first car?

2001 Nissan Sentra 160 gxi, bought in 2005.

That thing could go, still miss it to this day

My first car was a 1969 VW Beetle which then cost me R150 and paid off installments at R10 per month. Wish I still had a photo of it

2013 Race Red Ford Fiesta ST (3 weeks ago, lol)
 
Renault 5TS - a car with a few dents but it served ita purpose well. After I was assaulted and robbed by a dozen black men on a public train en route to Wellington from Goodwood, it became a necessity for me to drive a car. I had to work hard and get a licence within a month so thaf I could drive this Renault, which was a car my cousin had an accident with previously. But it was fixed and sent all the way from Joburg to Cape Town in a truck.
 
Talk about a trip down memory lane. OH MAN!

1986 Honda Ballade 150 - been a Honda fan ever since.

1983 Mercedes Benz 200. Wonderful car. Perfect for long road trips and dirt roads.
Only broke down once because of the alternator - R70 later after replacing the brushes, she was back on the road.

I had a red one. Did drag races in Bisho with it. Stock standard they were fast ! Until one day I wrecked a side shaft, stopped being stupid spinning and racing.
 
1966 VW Beetle with 6v electrical system and 2 candle power headlights.
Acquired in 1978 so cannot post a photo as no longer have any.
 
~1991 Mazda 323 Midge (1300 sedan)

Seems I no longer have the actual pics :cry:, bullet proof car though, bottle green like this one:

I had an e36 BMW 316, it was the best hey...But due to not being able to service it the engine seized and could not get it fixed properly. Mechanic after mechanic they couldn't get it right. I eventually had to sell it for R12k :cry:
 
Suzuki "Half Loaf" Not my first bought car but was "mine" to use straight out of school. Was part of a business my folks bought that didn't work out. So I got to use it instead lol.

2005 Toyota Yaris 1.3, which was sadly written off a month or two later.

It was an absolute beast though, did 700km on a tank no matter how hard I drove it (unrelated to it being written off I promise).

1997 Golf 3 GSX in midnight blue, complete with sunroof, electric windows and CD shuttle! Amazing ride but not light on petrol :)
 
A green Morris Minor. I loved that little car. I bought it for 50 pounds. It did me well. I used to wash and polish it and admire my acquisition with pride. She was all mine!
