Heh - I've just got home and cracked open a beer. Thinking I'm gonna head to Erawan for dinner in a bit and see what it's like :).

You won't be disappointed! Take someone special. Takeaway pickup is also an option, depending on where you live.

Highly recommend my favourite, Ba me prik phao, chicken.

Will be trying their veg dishes :). Definitely the dumpling starters - the Har Gau sounds real nice. Not sure about mains yet - maybe a green curry or one of the rice-noodle dishes.

Any places you get thai / chinese takeways from that serve it in those white fold-up cartons? I've always wanted to get takeaways like that and have never done it :(. They always seem to find a place like that in the movies.

Nice! Can't go wrong.

My one does come with tofu as an option, too. :p

Monk's do those cartons. Erawan is basic polystyrene. Oh so good though.

The better half made a pork roast with a smashed potatoe and done veg with cheese sauce. Power went out just after we stated eating.

Also had port roast, neck for us, with roast potatoes, butternut, sweetcorn and of course gravy.

In about an hour I'm going to run the left over pork through the slicer and make myself a sandwich on one of these freshly baked pretzel rolls.

I had breakfast for supper.

Scrambled eggs with cream in a wrap with a little bit too much feta ... so I had to make a tzatziki yoghurt dip to balance things out a bit.

They cocked it up? Dear me. :(
It's ok. I got a free starter (not pictured...ate it too quick in the car) when I went back :). Food was good. Thx for the recommendation.

Tzatziki dip is my new favourite thing.

Previously I never really cared for cucumber and Bulgarian yoghurt ... now I have a constant supply in my fridge.

Garlic and spices I have always had.

Although I often just leave the garlic out. Especially if I have to work the next day.

Looks awesome, that the Ba me prik phao, with different noodles than the usual yellow ones? Dish looks the same, just different noodles.

Glad you enjoyed, sorry to hear they messed up but good they gave you an extra taste sensation.

Sit down there is a treat.

It's not cheap, but when you consider fast food Chinese or even Simply Asia Thai is similarly priced, it's a no-brainer for me going for Erawan quality.

Yep. Had the rice noodles.

The quality is good. Most other places only toss a few cashews in - theirs had quite a lot.
Organic Zone in Tokai. http://www.organiczone.co.za/. They had loads on Saturday.
