What's up with Digital Addiction?

One last word from me regarding this whole saga. This thread now appears within the top four search results on both local and global Google searches. There's a lesson here - treat your MyBB customers well! :)

Still beyond me as to why he has not replied. Is he dead? Seriously, not kidding, is anyone aware of his well being?

One question... I dropped R10k 2 months ago with Conrad and DA.
I am guessing all the warrantees are gone ... man, lets hope nothing breaks. This is weird because he really went out of his way to help me. Sad Sad

I am afraid to say that your chances of him honoring the warranties are slim. You could always try go directly to the supplier he bought from, if you can find that out that is.

Your warranties are still in tact. Just find a dealer to return the product(s) to their suppliers for you, should it break. I have often helped out people by returning kit that wasn't bought from me, and there are no problems. :)

Well his company seems to no longer exist, and if it did, he's caused its reputation to be dragged through the mud by not commenting here.

@ Postman pot... thanks for that man... Nothing wrong at all but good to know the stuff is still covered

That Postal Address is wrong, that's my postal address ... that never moved on ... I just used it for DA.

That's not too far from me. I'll see if I can go have a look over the weekend and see if there's anyone there... maybe leave a note in the Window with this url written on it.

I hope that the guy is okay.

He has been online since this thread has been going.

Maybe has new username by now, who knows.

It strikes me as odd why you guys are going mental. How much was the amount? Shyte i could understand if this was a 1/4 million, would be worth running perhaps but i would imagine the amount in question is peanuts yet you guys act like he has stolen from people.

I think its more the fact that you expect a certain level of honesty from online retailers. With no storefront, how do you know if you are being taken for a ride? And this guy definitely was, until he cancelled and reversed the charges.

I'm very disappointed in ConradL because he's always been helpful before, but something seriously bad must have happened for him not to respond to PMs or post here.

It's not that he has done a runner with the money killa, it's more that it appears to have pissed a very good business against the wall, for whatever reason. Just appears as a shame, I am not accusing him of anything.

1. Nobody has gone mental.
2. The amount was never mentioned because it's not the point of the thread - go read the op (if you really are interested in the amount - I think it was just over R2000).
3. No money was lost because luckily the bank reversed the credit card charges - that was made very clear as well.
4. Stealing R1 or a quarter of a million would still be stealing.

That should address the main inconsistencies in your post.

Yeah Killa, I disagree with you, its not about the money, its the principal. People place their trust in retailers like DA and Conrad and when that trust gets broken it leaves a bad taste in ones mouth.

The fact that the guy couldn't even get hold of DA to question the state of his order is unacceptable, I don't care if it was R1 or R1 million rand. Business is business and if you can't even acknowledge your clients then you shouldn't be in business.

If he has done it once, you can be sure there are other people out there trying to get hold of him, and possibly with R10 000 worth of money on the line, who knows.

I totally agree with the others - accepting payment for an order and then not sending it or allowing communication is not acceptable. I am not sure what the value of money involved has to do with it at all.
