Whatsapp calls not connecting(solved).

Hi guys I recently jumped ship from ios to android and bought myself the S10e. I am very happy with the phone but I have a problem with my whatsapp calls. When I use wifi or my rain mobile sim I can make and receive whatsapp calls but when I use my telkom mobile data my WhatsApp calls refuse to connect after the person answers or I answer. Does anyone have advice on how I could possibly fix this?
 
Did a quick Google and found this :
Most connection issues can be resolved by doing the following: Restart your phone, by turning it off and back on. ... Open your phone's Settings > tap Apps & notifications > WhatsApp > Data usage > turn Background data on. Open your phone's Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi > turn Wi-Fi off and on.

Make sure that a Task Killer app isn't affecting WhatsApp. Empty the app cache (Settings > Applications > WhatsApp > Clear Cache) Finally, the most extreme solution: uninstall the app and then reinstall it.

My brother has this issue as well, also on a Telkom sim.
 
Just called telkom support took half an hour and they where clueless. Anyone have ideas?
 
Ok fixed the problem, I turned data saver off in the settings of my phone and it started working, which is odd because whatsapp was set as an exception to data saver, i think i might have to enable a facebook service somewhere in data saver for calls to work with data saver on.
 
Went to data saver, made sure WhatsApp was on and facebook services and boom, it works... only took me a month to figure out.
I am using the unrestricted APN also.
