Nope. My phone scanned the code before I even aimed the camera at it properly.
Yes, I have a very small screen Samsung - at the bottom of the animated diagram you should see "OK, got it" - but my phone doesn't show it :-(

Still beats me why I have to jump through hoops to install on my tablet (which can handle voice and sms), yet I can install on my pc, which I don't really want...

Am I missing something.
This feature of WhatsApp is simply for use via the web.
What does it have to do with Android or Chrome.
I'm using a Windows Phone and WhatsApp updated today and it works like a charm.
Can someone tell me what web based WhatsApp has to do with Chrome or Android specifically?
Edit:
Okay. My bad.
I see it only works with Chrome browsers. Not working on Firefox.![]()

only issue with this is I know several people who would want to access whatsapp through their webbrowser when their phone is out of juice or can't connect to a cell tower / wifi for internet, but they have a physical internet connection. So basically useless to 80% of the people looking for a solution like that and useful for the other 10% who wants to chat to ppl during working without looking like they're busy on their phone all the time...
Have you tried pressing the options button in Chrome? :/
Yes, and the option is not there!
