Not correct. You will still have it. Seems it is activated against the registered number. I downgraded to the official version on the WhatsApp site and still have call functionality.

official version is same number 561 I mean changing to another old version

Why would you want to downgrade to a version that misses the voice fixes. Quite a bit backward thinking right there to jump through the hoops to get voice calling, but then downgrade to a version that doesn't have the latest fixes /sigh

Pretty obvious actually. The earlier version is official and why would it not get future updates. Rather the contrary, your developer version may not get upgrades.

Fair enough, but I have seen mine update by itself just fine after loading test versions, so I believe that point doesn't really count.

I think they roll the updates. Mine was yesterday afternoon on 561 and one of the phones in my house is still not updated (all my main account ones are yesterday).

Did an initial test .1min of calling takes about 125 KB call and 133.4KB received. Total is 258.4KB. So if you buy 100mb data from vodacom ( prepaid) for R29 then 29/100 x 0.2584 = 0.074936 = 8c give or take.
