Hi there

The pre-paid model has been created for clients not wanting contracts.

You will be in control of your usage to the amount of the voucher you have purchased.

Seriously Shaun, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever!!! Why would someone want to use your prepaid service which costs R500 for 2 gigs, when they can get Vodacom prepaid 3G for R389 for 2 gigs, and a far superior product too.

So let me get this straight...you're introducing a prepaid product that is MORE expensive than your competitors??? What are you guys smoking over there at iBurst HQ?

mmm also had some horrible lag etc last night... and i cant call shaun for everything.. so just left it.. seemd a bit better.. although something is weird.. it hops then it just disconnects me:P so no idea

iBurst Prepaid User Trial

Do you have an iBurst modem not in use?

We've got good news!

Participate in a user trial for our new Wireless Prepaid Internet product and we'll give you 500 MB free

It will cost you nothing.

All you need to do is register and we'll give you 500 MB of data worth R200 to test our service.

Voucher Price In bundle rate

50mb R 50 R1.00/mb

140mb R 100 R0.71/mb

400mb R 200 R0.50/mb

2Gig R 500 R0.25/mb

This is a joke right?:D
Have the guys from product read anything that has been e-mailed, suggested or forwarded to them?
Apparently not. FAIL.

not sure if im reading that correctly, but the cheapest offer there is R250 per gb?

Let me get this straight. (Please enlighten me if I am wrong).

The question is asked:
Do you have an iBurst modem not in use?

If you have a iBurst modem not in use, it's because;

A). You don't use iBurst anymore, instead you're with another ISP.
B). You're looking for a buyer for your modem
C). You have found a better way to spend your hard earned cash.
D). All of the above.

It's obvious that the iBurst team have not read this thread at all, and if they have, they have totally ignored our suggestions.

Once the user trial is over, you need to top up with at least R100 worth of bandwidth in the 2 months following your registration to stay connected.

Isn't month 2 month like prepaid? If I don't pay, I get disconnected.

+ 100000
We have clearly been wasting our time with suggestions and ideas.

I lol'd irl

Then I cried because iBurst is actually being serious...

Yep , im moving over to neotel . NO point in wasting time driving an ox-wagon when i could be driving a new Audi RS4 for the same price.

Sorry Shaun but even as a prepaid this is a bad deal... we spend loads of time on suggestions and this is the first you you guys release. FAILED!!!

For this to be of any use to anyone it has to be AT LEAST as cheap as Vodacom 3G. Why would anyone want to use iBurst prepaid if it's more expensive than 3G, slower than 3G and doesn't have the coverage of 3G?

Epic fail.

Damn, here I was going to come and post about how rediculous the 2GB prepaid price is and I see that everyone else is on the same track here. I just bought a Vodacom simcard 2 days ago purely for prepaid data use after checking out other options including iBurst who I really thought would have a better deal. Wake up guys.

What about this...

1. 12 month data window
2. No contract
3. No credit vetting – only RICA required.

TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY RAND PER GIGABYTE is the cheapest offer.

Just .... lol.
