WHEN WILL SONY ERICSSON K850i BE RELEASED IN RSA

oh and just called Cellucity in Cavendish Square, Cape Town and the phone is out. They getting it next week but there is a wating list of about 40 ppl, im guessing im at the bottom of that list now :( better later than never though.

Super fast like all the other K-series. It only slows down when theres over a Gb of data on it.

Hate it when you get a phone and the rest of the world ends up getting it as well.
What contract? Vodacom? Pay-in?

How big is the card included btw?

Want to port my number, maybe I should send them the papers and stuff so long so they can hold my phone for me...

ya i just noticed a few menus missing for example the update service one in settings. Just little things but i prefer to have the whole phone available.
 
ya im vodacom topup 315. Should be free although if your topup 135 im guessing about a R1500 payin. Haha noways
 
How big is the memory stick they include?

Im on Cell C planning on moving to MTN as soon as contract expires 8 Jan.
 
On GSMarena they said 1 gig or 2 gig included. That sucks.

Hows the keypad and d-pad for you? Something you need to get use to?
Currently using Motorola... Buttons look a bit small and weird d-pad.

You must be going to a different GSM Arena cause they say 512mb card included.
 
Hi. Very happy with the K850i as I was sceptical at first yet enjoying it more and more!Compared to the N70 really it is easier to navigate. Nokia pre-emptive text still awesome to use.Phone is branded vodafone but NOT the usaul logo of that red thing -this is more "classy". Guess I was fortunate to get the phone already.
 
Where are u getting the phone?

I have been phoneing aroung GP this week and vodashops should have recieved their stock on 6\12\07.

But none off the places i phoned had recieved their stock, they all say that it is on backorder. I phoned vodacom upgrade and they said that the warhouse has stock, so it is just a matter of delivering the units.

Please were can I find stock :o

I jst got the phone today from vodashop gateway, Durban free on upgrade 130 talk package. One thing i want to know is can you get nav software for this phone, and will it work?:D
 
ya got the phone today from cellucity in canal walk. the d pad and the touch buttons take some time gettin used to but after a couple of hours its a breeze. the vodaphone branding i hate, iv always hated it so im busy debranding now, will post how it goes. otherwise an amazing phone well done SE.
 
MTN K850i release.

Any news as to when MTN will be releasing the phone? i asked virgin as i hear they have debranded phones and they say atleast three months and i need to earn R4000 to qualify for a contract and i cant afford that. i just dont want vodacom. i am afraid of debranding so mtn doesnt do much to the phone as far as i saw.
 
Why would this phone support a screensaver, when the screen goes blank after 15 seconds......and no option to set a timeout:mad:
