There's an OZC Trion 240gb SSD going for R999 at Takealot. How close are we to seeing these prices become permanent?

Hey howzit guys, apologies on only posting now, workload tends to be overloaded due to year end.

I have some good news. I had the cash i saved up plus my performance review went well and managed to get the SAPPHIRE Radeon R9 390, Nitro Edition with a 256 SSD :D:D. Will be testing it out tomorrow :D cant wait :D:whistle:

I really hope for you sake you didn't jump the gun on buying, everyone is having a Black Friday sale tomorrow and there is a big chance you could have save a couple hundred bucks.

From what I understand it's already been bought.
Story of my life too, I wait to buy something for ages and then finally take the step and it goes on special the next week.

That's what I'm saying, he already bought both the SSD and GPU, I don't know why, knowing for a fact that most online stores have a sale tomorrow, he is almost guaranteed to have saved money.

Apologies mate, completely misread the context but yeah. That would be a bummer.

FYI regarding Wootware -

Note:
Should any purchase made from November 19th be part of the Black Friday sale, upon request, we'll settle the difference as store credit. (Store credit limited to 1 unit per item, per person maximum).

This has been a great thread.

I'm looking for a 10k ish upgrade, but I want to go for 24" Screens and a GFX card, but I think I've settled on the R9 380. Now to try find 2 decent displays for around 6.5k

I did see that, which is great of them and they didn't have to do, but cash in hand is still better than credit. Will definitely check tomorrow and tell OP if he can get credit if he forgets.

Is it not a better idea to go for the R9380X?
I'm a Nvidia guy so I really don't know much about AMD.

They both sit between the 960 and the 970. The 380 closer to the 960 and the 380x closer to the 970.

I see they're now marked as stock coming soon.
Can I still order?

Don't worry, you can't even add it to your cart.
