nope, but if it doesnt then you argument/point you trying to make is irrelevant

;)

The single and only point I am trying to make is that plasma uses more electricity. I don't care whether that is relevant to you or not. If you asked me if it is relevant I would tell you hardly... Unless it is important to you personally.

I am just putting the facts straight as it does use more, about 2x as much as LED and 1.5x times as much as LCD.

dude I agree with you. on average they use half over plasma

all im saying is that people are MISLED by sales-retards

"this one uses less power, so you should get this one!!!" while what they are saying is TRUE, its really has zero impact/bearing on the matter. Unless you living on the moon and have a 1KW generator or something lol

or if you working for greenpeace and live in a green-home

:D

100% agree. It is nice to see though that power consumption overall is decreasing. At some point there needs to be a mindshift but that's another debate.

Rubbish. That might have been the case many years ago but this is no longer an issue. My plasma uses 200W, which is around the same power of a LCD.
What is your make and model so we can do a comparrison.
LED using significantly less power comared to Plasma.

If electricity saving per year equals R400 then in 5 years difference will be R2000. So when considering buying a 40inch R5000 LED vs R4000 Plasma it does make a price difference.

Oh God. Some people just seem to skip all over my posts. I NEVER DISAGREED THAT LED USES LESS POWER THAN A PLASMA.

Power usage is definately different bewteen plasma, lcd and led. The 32" LED I returned this week was 80W nominal, where as the 32" LCD I got instead uses 110W nominal.
Sorry, no 32" plasma to compare. :p

I said Plasma uses 2 to 3 times more electicity compared to LED and you replied "Rubbish".

Post your make and model and we can compare. Simple as that.

That is, however, not taking into account the time value of money as well as escalation of electricity prices ;-).

Maybe while we are on the topic we could dive into the extra social cost of carbon which the plasma produces over LCDs and LEDs. Anyone?
