Hi guys need some advice on what to buy, something intel based I assume, for work.

Family member needs one she has the following one but its almost ready for the graveyard.
She is obviously desperate because its for work but doesnt have much money to spend.

Current model : HP Envy i7 , bought in 2014

Any advice would help

Thanks guys

An i7 HP Envy not even 4 years old.. did she drop it or put it through the washer ? Just putting a ssd in it (If it didn't have one) should still make it perform better than most new i5's

yeah i have a 10 year old samsung laptop and by simply upgrading to ssd and adding more ram it performs better than most of my friends high end new age laptops that have normal hdds and is overly cluttered

Yeah flash is probably your best bet in terms of bang per buck. Maybe just message him & ask him to find a good fit? All his stuff seems well priced but I'm sure he has some relevant input

I bought a laptop from Flashgear, paid him Thursday afternoon and the laptop was delivered yesterday morning in Cape Town. It does not have the packaging but looks brand new.

I paid R10000 and the cheapest I saw a similar machine with lower specs was R18000.

I can highly recommend him.
