The bottle reminds me of Aberlour but I must admit I REALLY want one of those bottles/boxes, with the whisky inside.
It's basically a Van Ryns Brandy bottle.

Will have to import one. Or fly somewhere. Might be in Duty Free.

Right, another small review from the samples I received from @MightyQuin (again, thanks for your generosity).

This time I tried the Port Charlotte Heavily Peated and boy was I in for a treat.

I poured some in my glass, had it sitting there for a while, took a whiff and thought I should perhaps pour it back into the bottle. I had to sit for a while, trying to figure out what I was smelling when I realised it smells a bit like ocean air as well as some mint. There were some other smells going on but I have yet to put my finger on it. I want to say it was very complex on my nose.

I decided to let it sit some more before I decided to taste it. Took my first sip and I thought there was some sort of chaotic trance party happening in my mouth.

I was waiting for the overbearing peat taste but was surprised by how mild it actually is compared to the nose. There was a taste of tar, bit of citrus fruit but I was 'looking' for the mint which my nose found but it was short lived.

I must say this was an oily type of whisky but the extremely good kind of oil.

This is certainly a Whisky to go back to, many times over and over. I now understand why people see this as a classic, and a whisky that will stay a classic for many years to come.

The whisky is extremely complex but I like it so much and look forward to dissect the rest of taste that is hidden inside.

Im very privileged to have been able to try this one. I always read people's reviews and it has always been very favourable and I can now finally agree with everyone, this is something you MUST try, no exceptions.

After waiting more than a year I cracked my 7 year old 3 ships Whiskey Brothers limited single barrel bottle. Mmm sooooo good was so worth it! Think it was 700 at the time would Def buy again if I could.

I'm super jealous!

I'm late to the whisky party, but from this point forward I'll not miss out on buying something that I might regret later if I didn't

I love Irish as well but am not familiar with Powers. Excuse the ignorance. It might be budget driven. Any good?
If you like Irish, you will enjoy Powers. Often overlooked as it has a strange name and label, but worth it. Sometimes available at Makro, but they have dropped the ball (Centurion)

Powers is the first EVER Irish Whiskey to be distilled interestingly. Currently being distilled in the same distillery (Midleton) where Jameson's and Redbreast are made.

Powers Gold Label is quite good and the top selling Whiskey in Ireland.

I think we get the Signature Reserve/Release here? Apparantly an excellent Irish.

Much, much better than Pogues or Paddy's or that Proper No. 12 swill...

Honestly, at fractionally cheaper than the Ardbeg 10, I don't see it's worth it. Hell, it's a 5% difference in price for literally half the age on the whisky, and from what I've seen reviews state of it, it's the same whisky, just "young".
