AA allways reminds me of being a kid.. playing a game of 'kissing catchers' .. getting caught and then the rules change - "No, you cant catch me under the tree.. its the rules. Its a safe" and "I caught you, so you cant catch me!" - and the rules are allways changing depending of what you wanna get out of (or get in to :-P)

The government discriminates on the basis of race, that makes them racist. Want me to back it up? Exhibit 1: The Employment Equity Act

Oh come on, I went to a private school with black people and now go to university with them and you can't tell me they're in any way disadvantaged if they can afford to pay private school fees! If they're educated and competent I'm sure they'll get the same jobs everybody else does.

Those are not disadvantaged anymore. These are of course exceptional cases i.e. poor white kids, rich black kids, but they are only insignificant if we consider society at large.
We also tend to make a mistake of assuming that society is inherently fair and would therefore apply "meritocracy" at all times. The fact is we are raised with prejudice and sterotypes (more so in SA, owing to our past). A white person is more than likely to hire another white person unless there is none available. Same goes for a black person. It's the whole language/cultural upbringing phenomenon. We all tend to put more trust on things that are more familiar to ourselvels. One english speaking white forumite has mentioned that it was hard to get a job at telkom/eskom/SABC unless one was afrikaans. The reality in SA is that the employer is white (excluding government).

And also don't make it seem like every job in SA is AA, not even in governement (otherwise Elec Erwin wouldn't have a job. LOL)

The very premise of this thread is wrong, no-one considers wealthy blacks, or even poor blacks as disadvantaged, they were all previously disadvantaged, the poor and sick, old and frail of all race groups are now generally referred to as the vulnerable

So how long are people going to refer to Non-whites as Previously Disadvantaged?

I guess once they are "advantaged enough" and for that we are looking at about...No actually you can't put a timeline to this because it depends on how well it is implemented now. At the moment it's only been like piss in the pacific ocean

when these figures change

The unemployment rate for black Africans is 31.3 percent, coloureds 21.8 percent, Indians 13.4 percent and whites 5.4 percent.

One can really not argue that this shows that there is significant suffering by whites, in terms of jobs
