I can understand why Amazon is pulling SAPO from its delivery methods. I recently sent a monitor from Cape Town to Jo'burg - used loads of bubblewrap and a nice strong box for it and this is what happend....

I stopped using the SAPO to send items. They either damage the stuff or steal it and you can forget being compensated for the loss.
I sent a cellphone via the SAPO and they opened the package and stole only the phone, left the box charger manuals etc. They won't pay me out because they claim delivered the package and what's inside is your problem.

They didn't look after this parcel as they should've but didn't you think it was risky to send a CRT monitor via SAPO? I'm sure a courier could've/would've delivered it in much better condition, albeit at a higher price. My 2c.

In the past I have sent a 21" monitor to Durban and it got there without a problem. I also sent a 17" to George and it got there just fine. Seems that on longer distance trips your items are trashed.
The sad thing is that after this 15" LG got damaged in the mail (it still operates funny enough) I sent a 19" Philips Real Flat 109P CRT to the same person. It arrived with no physical damage - but would not switch on....
They sure know how to kill hardware at SAPO....

Probably find the parcel was opened, found to be too old tech and repackaged (after been dropped), judging from the corners.
