Why Telkom Why!!!!!

Good afternoon my fellow members.

About a week ago I phoned telkom to have an adsl line installed at my parents home located in the muizenberg/costa da gama area. Everything was running smoothly and as per some of the threads I was told to put pressure on Telkdom in order to get the line sooner by means of a progress report. Braving it out I phoned the dreaded call center only to wait 20 minutes and when I was finally answered I was told that my line is very bad and had the phone put down in my face:mad: I then phoned a second time and after waiting another 15 minutes, verifying my details I was told that there is no cables in my area, Yet the agent failed to explain why all my neighbours have adsl. See there is a line leading into my house but it has not been active in years (since the previous people that stayed there) All the guy can tell me is he doesn't know how long they will take to install and that I will just have to wait when I asked his name he refused and when I asked for a fault number he also refused.

It is 2015 and Telkom still has their heads so far up their arses. I am going to a Telkom direct store after work hopefully they are able to resolve my problem. So if anybody has any recommendations please do not hesitate to post a reply.:mad::mad:
 
Another day another Telkom complaint. Sorry mate, here i am waiting for them to sort my line , which sometimes i feel like cancelling but then fear not getting any other alternative if i do so
 
Took 6 months for them to stop debiting my account after they have cancelled a service with me they do not offer anymore. (WiMax)
I only managed to get it sorted having a contact at Telkom via a friend.They are the worst place for service period. I do not see how people can actually still do business with them. Being a monopoly, complaining helps zero...and I guess the reason why people Have to make use of their 'service'
