Hi all,
On Thursday 13th of July 2023, our internet provider WiFibre (Kempton Park) went down Needless to say, as of today Tuesday 18th of July they are still off.

Their website is down, phones don't work, email seems not to be working as well and during the day there is nobody to be seen at their offices.

Last communication and only communication we got was that there was a switch that blew/broke at Teraco.

I went to their offices early on Monday morning and found one person there (seemed a bit bewildered) and ask what is going on. He mentioned the Teraco issue and said they are going to start moving clients over, over to what only they know.

Today I tried to order Fibre from Afrihost and Vuma notified us that there is already an active line so installation cannot proceed.

Is there anyone who knows what is going on ? I feel the Teraco story is not a very accurate story, I might be wrong. But no one can get a hold of these guys in any way.

I tried to lodge a complaint on ISPA but their company is also not available to select.

What on earth can we possibly do to get our current fibre lines released so we can move to a different ISP ?

From bad to worse.. so got hold of the director and they moving all their home clients to new isp's. They apparently only keeping business fibre clients.

We now organizing with Vuma to install fibre from street into complex.

Apparently the new isp was suppose to send communication, so if they cannot even do that, then I have no hope.

Hi

Can you send me a message with your address so I can confirm the coverage you currently have?

If it's Vumatel we can request a line release to have you migrated over to Afrihost if you still want to use us as your new ISP?

Their office is in the same building that the Chinese goes to Pilates in. I'll go with later and see what's up...

Hello Class_ie, sorry to hear you have had a bad experience with your current provider. We are able to advise and assist you with your fibre connectivity challenges. We are a Glen Marais-based Telecoms & IT company. You are welcome to drop me a mail: [email protected].

Maybe better to stick with the tried and trusted ISP's even though some might be more expensive.
"Goedkoop is duurkoop."
When I went with them for my sister's business a few years back it wasn't because they were cheaper, they had a better product.

ADSL sucked, mostly 2Mb on a good day if it synced.
