Will we ever get a Crypto debit/credit card?

I was scolling through Reddit and saw some users in some countries have a ccess to Crypto debit/credit cards. I tried looking at several exchanges and they don't offer it for South Africa.

Could this maybe change in the future? Can't see our government allowing it, or it will be heavily regulated, which defeats the point.

Why worry ancient history…cards are already being phased out as it stands.

You can pay in so many other ways directly from crypto there is no card required.

Oh. How to buy a car? Plus I’m not interested in a physical card, only virtual card. Card is much easier to work with without needing 3rd party apps.

Don’t need third party apps. You can pay any QR code based payment now with crypto.

Cars, depends on the dealer but some of them will make a plan. Not like you would have used a card for that in the past anyway.

I don’t think you can, unless that merchant would agree on a refund.
 
On my Revolut app I issued a card linked directly to one of my crypto balances. When I use it online or with Apple Pay it debits the crypto account

I managed to get it to work. I’ve added it on Google Pay. But can’t add it on iOS Wallet. When I contacted support they say Apple banned it.

I technically should be able to pay. Loaded R1500.

Exactly what I wanted. Single transaction limit is $100k and $1m per day limit.
 
Every swipe is a taxable event it's an absolute nightmare.

Rather cash out as needed and spend

Also using crypto like this will put you smack bang in the income tax side so don't even consider this if you were trying to push for cgt treatment
 
I don't think anyone wants a something that can lose its entire value because Trump did something.
