sure I will, not that I expect it to make any difference whatsoever, but with some luck a fair number of fellow ward residents send a bit of a message to the DA gestapo that is taxing the living shyte out of Cape Town and pissing it away on ... buying votes from the poor

fahk you DA! I'd rather ram my schlong into a high powered blender than vote for you conceited cnuts!

Riiiiight, does your dustbins get collected? Do you have water? Do you have power?
If you've answered yes to any of that, your taxes are being used correctly and probably cheaper than the ANC does in Gauteng.
Smaller parties literally give themselves up to the ANC, coaltions do not work. Keep the devil you know vs you getting the ANC trust us from up here.
Some muppets thought giving ASA a chance was a good idea.

I just don't have the energy or time to stand in a line to vote for some thieving cvnt. They all thieves, the only difference is that some are better than others at stealing. So no, but thankful for the free braai day which I will spend with my family instead of standing in a line for some power hungry egotistical aszhole.

Haven't missed a vote since was able to.

I do miss the ID book stamps, mine looks like a mini passport until they stopped.

Yes, I will be voting.

It's a public holiday. I live in a city so can walk to the polling place. Proportional representation means that just about every vote counts. The majority of South Africans were denied in the right to vote in our lifetimes. I'm not giving up a hard won right which is so easy to follow through on.

we've ascended in Cape Town, we no longer compare ourselves to Gauteng at all, we expect an even higher standard than Cape Town already has

the DA is ill-equipped to deliver it without at the very least a strong opposition ... they can't handle their outright majority, buying votes from the poor with free housing which perpetuates the problem is not that much different than the ANC's t-shirt and streetwise 2 supply drops

That is an issue you will soon wish you have if you lived under any other party in this country. You say they are ill-equipped, yet you have services you pay for.

technically no, for the past 8+ years Cape Town residents have been paying increased rates specifically for desalination plants and aquifer expansion/tapping to mitigate against the day-zero drought scare

do we have a desalination plant? no
so did we get the service we specifically have been paying for the past 8 years? no

instead we have a smug POS mayor warning us to reduce water usage

Ah my sweet summer child... That sounds like first world problems. We have our Mayor Dudley Do Nothing who tells us to reduce water usage, which would be fine, if we had water and the leaking pipes were fixed. We also apparently must use less electricity cause the grid is constrained, we have rubbish bins out for weeks, people illegally dump as there are barely any legal dumps.
Back to the Future was correct, where we go in JHB we don't need roads, cause they are potholed, street lights are fancy ornaments that once worked, same as traffic lights.
Seeing a metro or SAPS is like seeing a unicorn

You are arguing against a stone.

Such is life. They must first lose what they got to realise what they had. They seem to think that a different party will not tax the living **** out of them. Boy are they in for a surprise. Only difference is where the tax money will be utilised (insert pocket).

Yup it is funny reading the complaints on the DA, when it's like those definitely sound like first world complaints, I would love those, I really would.
