TODAY may well be the last day you can enjoy a famous Wimpy cup of coffee with a view, as D-day looms closer and uncertainty hangs over Scottburgh’s Beachfront Pavilion.An eviction order served by the municipality is to take effect on Thursday, May 15, but Faurco Investments is not going down without a fight.

Yes, there is hell to pay down here at the moment - kick out Wimpy, hand it to "previously disadvantaged" mismanagement and you have all your ducks in a row for another Umgababa that is a ghost town except for Christmas and New Year when it is totally over run by drunken idiots and thugs.

Anyone have the reasoning's of the council for the eviction? What is their "intention"?

Having spent many of my childhood holidays in Scottburgh, I am deeply saddened by the closure of family businesses in Scottburgh.

Having said that, in a way it reinforces that the town I knew growing up is no more, and in the absence of the people that I loved I need never worry about returning, because it's simply not there anymore.
 
obviously their lease has expired and the municipality has no obligation to renew it. no doubt the people in charge will have a finger in the pie with regards to the being the lease holders. very similar situation to the one that rocked plettenberg bay a few years ago where the mayors husband won the new leases to a few prime beach front restuarants.

Its their country now, either fit in of f&*ck off.

the mayor & councillors family & relatives are too stupid / greedy / lazy to start their own business - so they figure "legally" under the guise of bee, aa, beeaa . .bla bla bla bla whatever - they can legitimately steal it

in the article:

One of the councilors is quoted in the local paper as saying "I will not give it to the white woman". They are referring to Connie Myburgh, who with her husband were the orignal owners of Wimpy on the Beach and what used to be the Golden Grill resaurant. It's totally race related, and the municipality has supported this racism 100%. They are responsible for the closure of Phatt Boyz, a local bar that was also owned by some white friends of mine. The tender went out to some cadres and nothing has come of it. The place has been derelict for over 8 months now, because the tender was fraudulent. It's such a mess and it's going to kill ANY tourism that Scottburgh relies on during the holiday season.

After being in the sea for hours on end, a wimpy double bacon cheese burger and choc shake is not sh*t. Nuh-uh. No siree!

I've actually never been to these Scottburgh shops but I do know of people who have, and since the 60's to boot. Way to fsck it up, idiots. I hope the people boycott your useless arses out of there in record time.
 
So they can evict you because you are white? What about all the staff that made a living out of that shop?

This just doesn't seem right. I was told that BEE participitation is up to your own discretion?

How is this right?
