Yup. Windows 10 Insider program will continue from 29/7. Insiders will keep receiving preview builds (you lose your activation status as soon as you opt out of the program). Not a bad deal if you like riding on the bleeding edge

Btw, full fat geniune Windows 10 build (29/7) will be without Insider functionality.

Apologies if asked already. Is it feasible to look for a cheap copy of windows 7 ( if still available ) or 8 to update to 10 ?

I'm still not sure if pirate copies will be "updated" to licensed copies... anyone have an article confirming whether this is true or not? So many articles with different opinions out there.

My genuine Win 7 install has the Windows 10 icon in the bottom right next to the time, while my harrrr install does not. I guess that answers your question

No. My harrrr install of 8.1 and 7 have both the windows button.

Does anyone know if it'll be possible to just grab the upgrade on one PC and then distribute it through a network or something?

Don't you have to set up a WSUS like server for this specifically?

You can upgrade from the iso as well

Yup, but it's done this on all of the updates.
