Windows 10 Technical Preview - Insider Program

unless you are an insider? but then you are a tester, and not really a user, ammarite?

Yup. Windows 10 Insider program will continue from 29/7. Insiders will keep receiving preview builds (you lose your activation status as soon as you opt out of the program). Not a bad deal if you like riding on the bleeding edge:D

Btw, full fat geniune Windows 10 build (29/7) will be without Insider functionality.

Apologies if asked already. Is it feasible to look for a cheap copy of windows 7 ( if still available ) or 8 to update to 10 ?

I'm still not sure if pirate copies will be "updated" to licensed copies... anyone have an article confirming whether this is true or not? So many articles with different opinions out there.
My genuine Win 7 install has the Windows 10 icon in the bottom right next to the time, while my harrrr install does not. I guess that answers your question :)

A poster in this thread has a lot of PCs to upgrade to Win 10, and is concerned about the cap it'll take.

Does anyone know if it'll be possible to just grab the upgrade on one PC and then distribute it through a network or something?

Don't you have to set up a WSUS like server for this specifically?

My start button stops working as well as the search bar. Also, my sound cuts out after a while and I have to restart my laptop. Does this happen to anyone else?
