Windows 10: The Next Chapter

Well it was rumoured to be a free update.

Still think they will enforce 7/8 minimum though

Maybe you can game it with an oem key though

Well my drive which had windows 10 installed on it died and the new ISO failed to download last night. So yeah, I feel your pain bro.

I'll hopefully install it this afternoon. :)

Oh dear, that sucks!

I hope you have uncapped ADSL, it's quite bad when a 3.82GB download fail on LTE. :eek:

If you're on a previous build, doing the upgrade through PC Settings > Update and Recovery > Preview Builds uses far less data and is much quicker.

Sounds like you've got a bug there. Is this a clean install from the ISO?
 
Did an upgrade to the latest build on my Win8.1 office PC. No issues. The only pain is OneDrive now has to sync 10GB back down to Win10. I set the region to SA and Cortana doesn't work in this region. Will switch region to USA when back from Saturday visits. So far very nice.

I'm finding the waking up from hibernation tons faster!

One major issue though - I can't get access to my samba shares.

This account is not authorized to login from this station.

Worked before the upgrade.

Update: seems to be a major bug. People all over complaining about the same issue. Can't access shares on samba/windows.

Windows build 9926 looks absolutely jaw dropping beautiful. :love:

I'm running it on a very low powered Intel NUC Celeron, so I can just imagine how super nice it would be on a Core i3, i5 or i7. But the funny thing is - it actually feels like I'm using a much faster pc with much higher specs. :)

Windows 10 is going to be Microsoft's best and most beautiful OS ever.

I love it already, and it's not even final code. ;)
