Nobody asked for other system boot up times. The topic compares Vista with win7. Just another MAC fanboi grab to derail this thread into some more FUD!
You and killa must be twins since you post together.
Actually, mind your own business.
No actually stop beFUDDING every fsucking windows7 thread with your MAC OSX fanboi tripe, fud, arsewhoring BShiite!
I AM GOING TO COMPLAIN TO RPM IF YOU CARRY ON.
Ok, I'll leave OSX out of it. My Win XP boots up in 60 sec on a >1 year old laptop. You twins.![]()
YEAH, JUST WONDER IF YOU WOULD EVER REVEAL THAT ALL YOU DO WITH THAT LAPTOP IS POSTING HERE!
1 year old laptop boots in 60 seconds, did you buy a p3 laptop? You should reload it man.
This is relevant because if Win 7 really slows down by 330% over 2 years, it makes no sense for me to upgrade.
Just typical you to believe anything you read negative about win7. You obviously have not taken note of how XP slows down over time.![]()
Stop derailing the thread, please. This is about Win7 and not my laptop.
Well it has. It used to boot in 30 sec when I first started to use this laptop. However, if I defrag, delete some files and get rid of some start up processes (I don't need), it may go back to 30-40s, or I'll just ghost to an SSD.
But Penguin-kiddo, I do want to believe in Win7. I really do.
Peter YOU brought your laptop into this. YOU know you may report this, but you are a real dumb fsuck idiot! stirring for shiit in every windows related thread.
Beware you will from now on be reported for all off topic mac comments!
Shame i cannot believe how long your pc takes to boot, laptops boot fast man.
You should reload or put a bloody ssd in the thing. Stop buying them p3's peter.

My win 7 (release version) boots much faster then my old XP. There are a lot of things I don't like about it and quite a few that I do like but I don't have a choice, I need win 64 support so it's either this or Vista (which is worse). On the whole it performs about the same (if not faster) then my old XP so I am content.
Peter reload your pc they are kuk slow bud.
google your specs and load times and you will see, defrag do something man!!!!!!!
Is that time to desktop or time to usability?
Do you have the same amount of stuff loaded on both or are you comparing an old install of XP to a relatively fresh install of 7.
This article suggests that Win 7 slows down with time as much as XP. Not that it's slow to start off with. They ran simulations, whatever that means.
It's like those Verbatim of Kodak DVD-Rs which have a 100 year life span, they run simulated aging tests on them. Here maybe they install and uninstall stuff - who knows.
Obviously YOU don't know. What is this stupid analogy?
Thanks for your input. It's great to hear a mature response for a change in helping me decide to quit XP or go Win 7.
