Windows 7 RC1 64 vs 32

Is there really any performance difference between these two?

I have a Intel C2D E8200 and I'm wondering if I should bother going with the 64 bit version?

Anyone is CPT that can swing me a copy? I'll come fetch no problem, and comes with a six pack of your choice! :D
 
I haven't had any problems running any programs on 64-bit, 32-bit drivers also work in 64-bit version.
 
I also have 64 bit - really worth it over 32 bit IMO. You can have it free of charge if you can pick it up from me. I work in newlands area. Can get it by Monday for you.

me too! It's great. But the main reason I installed it is to access the 4GB of RAM. It's very responsive though on my quad core system.
 
Running the x64 Win7 here - love it. Much snappier than Vista x64, plus a smaller HDD footprint.

sorry Im a bit of a noob when it comes to 64-bit stuff...

You can use 32-bit drivers? So I dont need to download specific 64-bit drivers? Im sure I saw on Nvidia's site Windows 7 64-bit chipset drivers

You need 64 bit drivers. But they aren't difficult to find. And win7 has very good driver recognition and software compatibility. I haven't found anything besides daemon tools that won't run on win7 64

You need 64bit drivers but win7 gets 99% of them at installation.

You can use 32bit applications though.
 
Download the new version,it works like a charm.

ms should seriously from win7 just had gone with 64bits, period.

If they had went straight into 64bit, people with older pcs that do not support 64bit won't be able to use the os. Its better for them to make a 32bit and a 64bit version anyway, cos it will just mean more money for them.
 
can someone else plz confirm that DT works on Win 7 RC1 64-bit ?

I use it quite a lot, I have lots of backups! :D
 
DT doesn't work on RC1 on my pc. But there are good alternatives out there. But like the guy said I think newer versions of rc1 have it working.
