MS EASSY -- NOT

XP 64 bit SP 2 has NWLink -- netbios over IPX/SPX -- works fine for now.
In any case
MS Client / Browsing Service / Netbios / File & Printer sharing predates NETBEUI / IPX
Read up IBM and SMB
WHY netbios over TCP/IP
WHY are MS still in the DARK ages when it comes to their Client / File sharing / networking

So you are one of the these rich monopoly guys that have all the latest of everything and not old legacy Win 98 and 2000 machines -- which STILL work fine.Dude - netbeui disappeared along with ipx and arcnet!
Netbeui is FINE on a small nework -- plug and play and forgetTime to get with the times. IP is much more network friendly, no more nasty broadcast storm like you have with netbeui.
More PT --If its only a handful of machines its easy enough to set them all up using lmhosts files.
For larger network consider using dymanic dns, or you could even try bonjour.
