I wonder if this coule ever work in SA. You'd somehow have to contact the manufacturer directly I think and hope for the best. I don't think you'd have any luck trying to explain things to the salesman at Makro or Game....

I have tried, but instead I ask before hand to have a clean laptop with no Windows, but all they do is shrug their shoulders.

This is why I want to build my own system next time. Then I can choose each component, AND the OS. But yeah, if you are buying pre-built system, then you are probably stuck with Windows, whether you want it or not.

The first time I saw that rubbish about : "Do not open the package until you have read and agreed to the license agreement (which is in the package on the disk)", I lolled.

Some 8 years later, they are still pulling the same stunt to unwittingly trap people in a license agreement.

Another option is that consumers should be protected from forced bundling of Windows with hardware
