Okay, I think my XPS 12 is probably the best gadget and have purchased.

I am actually building an emotional attachment to it

Anyway, I am now on the hunt for decent touchscreen games for windows. RTS or action oriented.
Does anyone know of any? I have Googled and only coming up with k@k like Cut The Rope, Fruit Ninja, etc...

I have installed League of Legends, and while it runs very well on this machine - it still requires keyboard and mouse.

Diablo 3 on its way in to try out on this machine, but again - mouse and keyboard.

I would like some games that I can play with the device purely in tablet mode while laying in bed.

Any ideas peeps?

Dude windows 8 was designed for touch screen usage but i am not sure they had games in mind or you will have to wait for them to be developed, i have yet to hear anything about games that only make use of a touch screen. Well games worth playing.

Perhaps i am mistaken but i don't think games are optimized for touch screen game play. You should have bought a console, then you could chill in bed and play games. Way easier than using a laptop.

I play games on my iPad and Galaxy Tab.
Do windows devs struggle to write similar games for windows touch?

Considering the hardware is far more capable than a Galaxy tab or iPad, I am surprised devs are not taking advantage.

Serious developers code for serious desktop powerhouses.
Tab and ipad developers code for casual gamers.
If you want Windows games get a desktop. If you want something casual to play in bed get a tab or ipad.

Edit : You can get Angry Birds for your frankenstein pad, desktop, ipad.

Oh FFS. I asked what games were available. Not advice on what I should be using. Really!

What kind of reasoning is that anyway?

But seriously.. i don't know of any games optimised for windows touch screens. Might be a while before developers catch on to this platform.

Reason I am asking. There is bugger all available. Best tablet I have owned and still need a mouse and keyboard to do anything worthwhile.

Dude we are telling you that you made the wrong choice for gaming, get over it. Go buy an ipad or android based tablet. Wait for development for windows 8.

Dude, you assume I purchased an XPS 12 for gaming. Get over yourself.

I don't need the advice on what I should have purchased. If you don't have any touch based games to offer up for windows 8, then stay out the thread. Really that simple.

Tried Bluestacks yesterday. Disappointing really. Very laggy and touchscreen not working very well with it.

Some googling this am brought up thus thread https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/android-x86/nF-0LvfSa7k

Seems they got the IA version working almost perfectly. Just have to partition around 10GB of my drive to Android and I can dual boot my XPS 12. If this works as well as they say, then sorted. I get the best of both worlds. Windows for work and Android for everything else.

Got some stuff to do around the house this AM, then going to test this out. Will report back.
