**** me sideways I just went to do some reading and you can actually Command + C after doing Markup.

The trick? Press bloody Return/Enter or click the background after you added the text or circle or whatever so it's not focused on a tool.

How utterly bizarre.

And then you can of course immediately delete it.

 This is why I was confused when you said you can't copy/paste, I've been doing exactly that...

Not the same thing.

I mean when you take a screenshot and your want to draw an arrow on it or add text or do whatever there is no way to simply copy and paste that out again and have the screenshot disappear.

iOS you take a screenshot edit it and then auto delete it once done and it’s one great workflow.

I share it to Preview then copy paste from there, but yes, I agree, it's an unnecessary extra step in the workflow

Do you guys rock them naked or have some sort of protection on it?

I'm quite paranoid of it getting dings and dents as I've seen many in the wild with these battle scars

Just ordered this - Amazon link. Which I think is very cheap for what you get

Really only got it for the hardshell case and sleeve - won't be using the rest

Edit: Also ordered a new type c cable as well - Link

Nekkid with stickers* from all the tech companies I've visited

* only biodegradable and easily removable one's of course

Yeah did a similar thing.

Seems I should have just clicked off the selection after I’m done with the tool.

Still something Apple could fix though to just work anywhere at all times.

Yeah it’s just such a bizarre thing.

In no application I can ever recall could I not copy content at any point of working with a file.

no, you should have bought the mini rather. It’s a beast of a machine, dead quiet, and super portable. I even travel with a mini and have a zen screen for it. One issue all MacBooks have is thermals. Do anything remotely intense and it becomes a jet engine in front of you.
As has been soundly covered, the M1 Macs are quite different to what has gone before. Apple achieved something remarkable with them. I would never in a million years have considered the crappy MacBook Airs until the M1 refresh.

Considering SA's issues with load shedding and unscheduled maintenance at substations, I doubt I'd ever buy a Mac Mini. For not much extra money you can have an entire computer attached to the thing with the same specs and epically long battery life if you need to work in laptop mode.

@SauRoNZA

Do you have a dock for your laptop? I spent ages searching and the most decent local option I could find was this:

Also found this cool gadget to complement the MacBook life:

Got both in transit atm.

Only have an Adam adaptor which is hooked up to my external screen and power supply permanently.

To be honest though since Covid and WFH I’ve found myself spending 80% of the day on single screen undocked when at home and kind of moving around as I need/want to.

I have the same dock as you, but one that can hold two laptops. Very sturdy and heavy, with a rubber base and 'arms' so it won't damage the finish on your Macbook. I also have the same drive, works perfectly with macOS after formatted it to exFAT (NTFS works on mac with the right software)

Yep - should appear on the Share To button or one of the icons on the top of the window frame - rather counter intuitive in it's current form (especially since we're so conditioned by the superb iOS implementation of the same function)

Sometimes when I copy from Termius, it doesn't recognise the command and then I can't paste the command everywhere. I've tried Edit -> Copy when the text is selected and also tried CMD + C.

Anyone had the same on macOS?

Greyed out on the menu? Or just ineffectual?

Active in the menu, but clicking Copy just...doesn't do anything. Right-clicking and selecting Copy also does f*kkol.

I can select text and that automatically copies it, but when using vi or nano, I then have to copy what I can see on screen, paste it in VSCode, go back to Terminal/Termius, scroll down, copy the next section on-screen, go back to VSCode, paste it, etc...
