**** me sideways I just went to do some reading and you can actually Command + C after doing Markup.
The trick? Press bloody Return/Enter or click the background after you added the text or circle or whatever so it's not focused on a tool.
How utterly bizarre.

And then you can of course immediately delete it.
Not the same thing.
I mean when you take a screenshot and your want to draw an arrow on it or add text or do whatever there is no way to simply copy and paste that out again and have the screenshot disappear.
iOS you take a screenshot edit it and then auto delete it once done and it’s one great workflow.
no, you should have bought the mini rather. It’s a beast of a machine, dead quiet, and super portable. I even travel with a mini and have a zen screen for it. One issue all MacBooks have is thermals. Do anything remotely intense and it becomes a jet engine in front of you.
Do you guys rock them naked or have some sort of protection on it?
I'm quite paranoid of it getting dings and dents as I've seen many in the wild with these battle scars
Just ordered this - Amazon link. Which I think is very cheap for what you get
Really only got it for the hardshell case and sleeve - won't be using the rest
Edit: Also ordered a new type c cable as well - Link
I share it to Preview then copy paste from there, but yes, I agree, it's an unnecessary extra step in the workflow
This is why I was confused when you said you can't copy/paste, I've been doing exactly that...
M1 doesn't have a fan
As has been soundly covered, the M1 Macs are quite different to what has gone before. Apple achieved something remarkable with them. I would never in a million years have considered the crappy MacBook Airs until the M1 refresh.no, you should have bought the mini rather. It’s a beast of a machine, dead quiet, and super portable. Do you have a dock for your laptop? I spent ages searching and the most decent local option I could find was this:
Takealot.com: Online Shopping | SA's leading online store
South Africa's leading online store. Fast, reliable delivery to your door. Many ways to pay. Shop anything you can imagine: TVs, laptops, cellphones, kitchen appliances, toys, books, beauty & more. Shop the mobile app anytime, anywhere.www.takealot.com
Also found this cool gadget to complement the MacBook life:

Got both in transit atm.
I have the same dock as you, but one that can hold two laptops. Very sturdy and heavy, with a rubber base and 'arms' so it won't damage the finish on your Macbook. I also have the same drive, works perfectly with macOS after formatted it to exFAT (NTFS works on mac with the right software)@SauRoNZA

Yeah did a similar thing.
Seems I should have just clicked off the selection after I’m done with the tool.
Still something Apple could fix though to just work anywhere at all times.
Sometimes when I copy from Termius, it doesn't recognise the command and then I can't paste the command everywhere. I've tried Edit -> Copy when the text is selected and also tried CMD + C.
Anyone had the same on macOS?
Active in the menu, but clicking Copy just...doesn't do anything. Right-clicking and selecting Copy also does f*kkol.Greyed out on the menu? Or just ineffectual?
Yeah sorry, it was a troll comment. But why?
Also on M1 mostly useless.
