Did you install this on your own or get a contractor?

I would like to install a similar system (Hikvision Ax Pro). I assume most alarm contractors are used to wired systems (Paradox etc) but they would still be able to install and setup the Hikvision system correctly so that it works reliably? Or maybe Regal can recommend some installers?

It’s easy , I done it myself, the most “complicated” part was registering , you have to register a hik-proconnect account as the “installer” and then invite yourself as the user ( another account) if that makes sense

But install is as easy as going to the device tab, and scanning the barcode on the INSIDE of each device ( you need to open them)
 
If you're not comfortable going the DIY route, then get a professional who DOES NOT have any connection to your monitoring company to install the system for you. Then call the monitoring company to install the radio hookup. It's far better to keep the installation and monitoring of your system completely separate from each other.

I can find out from Babyware, but not easily via other methods. Babyware basically reports lost transmission to sensor so I can guess - battery time...

Alerts for batteries show as a "trouble" on the keypad
If you use the app via ip150 then you can see which one it is.
I also get email alerts on it as well.
This will happen when the batteries get low.

I recently took all of my Paradox wireless as I wanted to cleanup up 3 alarms worth of wires in the house.
Prev my outside beams last a year+. It all depends on how much traffic there is.
 
Those of you that have set up AJAX systems.

How do you set it up to alert the armed response company.

Seems the IDS / Paradox system works with a radio transmitter?

Most use a wireless transmitter these days

I’m almost sure that the Ajax has remote relays,

I’m using that on the hikvision to trigger the radio for my security company, one set to latching for arm / disarm , one for panic , one for alarm activation

https://www.Securityeo.co.za are wholesale distributors and suppliers of full range ajax products. Security experts online go out of their way to assist and even willing to preprogram system for you. Give them a shout.
 
Does anyone know of a way of picking up paradox wireless sensors without using a paradox alarm panel/receiver?
  1. I have a couple of PMD-85s and don't mind wiring them in for signal and power - have a 12v distribution system in place. Also don't mind soldering some wires to the board to pick it up - if someone knows how?
  2. Alternatively can a generic 868Mhz receiver work to pick them up? Then I can connect that up to my existing IOT system.

I think Paradox uses their own proprietary protocol so it won't work.
