Wootware Motherboard Experience

ALRIGHT this thread has gone off topic, Yes I was pissed off when I made this thread. Forgive me!

The product has FINALLY arrived. And maybe I did overreact a bit, yes. I apologize.

THANK YOU TO WOOTWARE FOR RESOLVING THIS PROBLEM. I WILL EDIT MY ORIGINAL POST so I can remove some negative things I said
Cool dude, enjoy the sweet new rig.

If it was the other famous company, they would have made you pay for shipping, first do quality control, inform you that you are the issue, and then send the same product back or penalise. Will be a month later before there is a resolution.

In before the Evetech recommendation.

Yeah who was I to think that a company controls when their product arrives.

How dare I buy a brand new product, get it delivered pre used, get told I have priority shipping on replacement new one, get product late (still hasnt arrived) & then complain about it? My golly what impression was I under?

So you're saying the onus is on me, the customer who made no mistakes, to sort out shipping and acquire the phone number of the courier and nag them to get me my product? Oh ok thanks for clarifying
I just have to ask, where is your complaint thread targeting the courier who is actually the one that messed up (you said the board was with them in your town since Thursday)? :p

Seriously, couriers can be the devil :(

Hi. This post is going to be an unpopular opinion.

I recently made a thread here titled "R32000 PC budget assistance" And anyways, long story short I ordered a bunch of products from Wootware & other stores.

The products arrived... One problem though, the R3075.00 Brand new motherboard I bought was... pre used.

The box was damaged, the anti static bag had holes in it and was opened. Last but not least the motherboard itself had thermal paste finger prints on the back of it. Lol

Check the photos.

Also, When I told wootware about this they said they would priority ship a new motherboard and I can send the old one back, Well I have sent the old one back. and ... I am still waiting for my new motherboard.

It has been 4 business days since they "Priority shipped" my product.

I was not going to write this review, I don't write reviews. However, Wootware deserves it. I am sitting here without a motherboard and my PC build has been delayed by a whole week thanks to Wootware.

Let us hope my motherboard arrives today.

REMINDER TO DOUBLE CHECK YOUR PRODUCTS BEFORE USING THEM.

If I had not checked my Motherboard, I wouldn't have noticed it was pre used.

Is that by any chance an MSI motherboard? I had a similar issue with a board I purchased from Loot. Board had finger prints and thermal past marks all over it. The bag was sealed with tamper evident tape, so couldn't possibly have been opened by them.

I returned it and they exchanged it for another one, the board looked a lot better (not perfect though) but was DoA, so I had to return it yet again.

The third and final board also had thermal grease marks all over it, but I made peace with that since it at least worked and the build was already 2 weeks late.

I later decided to check out an unboxing video of the board I purchased. Even the board in the unboxing video had thermal grease marks all over it!

So I don't know how or why this happens, but as it turns out, some of these boards actually come straight from the manufacturer in that condition.

Yes MSI

The new motherboard I just received is literally damaged.

The corner has a button, I think it is the flash bios button, the cage that houses the button is totally damaged. The button is 100% loose and is only being held in there by the damaged ring.

MSI has extremely poor quality control and I assume use very cheap labour and push out high quantities.

Stay calm. Inform WOOTWARE and get a refund or credit + not MSI.

I had an Asrock motherboard and a GPU (can't remember brand) go bad on me a few years back it became faulty and after testing it for a bit found it was faulty. They asked me to send it to them which i did they "tested it" and said it was not faulty and sent it back to me (at this time i had to pay for both shippings since it was deemed not faulty), i complained after getting it back as it kept giving me blue screens and they were like "we tested it and it was fine" anyway i asked for the distributor of the parts details, they gave me their details, phoned them up, explained my situation and they said i can come on through and they will test it for me and make a decision.

Went to the distributor and they stress tested it and another part which i assumed was faulty too, they said both parts were faulty and replaced them for me.

I enquired with Wootware about my delivery refund as the distributor deemed the items faulty, and they just said "at the time of testing with us it was not faulty"

Left a salty taste in my mouth BUT i will use them again even after this since their pricing is generally a lot better than other places and its local.

There is a second bad review on them :)

I had a similar experience with a PSU I bought from them - eventually, after many back and forth arguments and 'nothing wrong our side' stories, I told them to keep it as I bought a cheapie from Carbonite that didn't cause by PC to hard reboot, even wrote the lost funds off as school fees. They eventually credited me after this, but their diagnostic department needs some work :p

Still support them though, just saying.

There is a large dent on the Motherboard box too. the package arrived in a fedex packet, inside was layers of bubble wrap then the motherboard box
