Wootware.co.za is an online retailer of computer hardware and software geared towards enthusiast computing. It is based in Somerset West in the Western Cape, South Africa.

Wootware was founded in 2007 by Rory David Magee and operated from a residential address in Somerset West. Expansion required that the business relocate to the Somerset West Business Park in 2013, which currently serves as the headquarters of operation.

The term Woot originated as a hacker-term for root (or administrative) access to a computer. However, the term coincides with the gamer term w00t which is a portmanteau of the words 'Wow, loot!'

I won't know, but I guess they could have better optimised their website with media better served by a CDN or and an enhanced cache. I haven't looked, and I don't know what changed in serving the website to the public.

Faster response times results in better business, but I can't remember their old website crawl...

Loads super fast for me

I think it is fair to say they've got the caching and edge location down and made the right technology choices.
Cloudflare would be my choice.

Other sites I've seen hosted in SA on Cloudflare have been blazing fast.
As is typical of CloudFlare, they've setup their infra like a boss (unlike a lot of local hosting companies)
 
Prefer the old logo but the new site does load very fast.
I like that they removed those big social media review icons they had at the top right.
 
Now if only the filtering was better and the list didn't include products without prices without needing to filter on every page refresh to say has stock / with suppliers. Click away and back and... O fudge..
