Sorry my mistake !!!! [:I]

Gaming server available for testing with a Lower Ping Rate.

Thanx
Jason

Jason, your service seems great, I just think the few grammer mistakes on your main page are a bit unproffesional!

Would nocap be a good option for Xbox LIVE gaming ? Or would it only really be good for downloads.

One other thing, could Nocap be used as an ISP? It would save me some bucks then!

I am really interested in testing the lower pings for international gaming, and have fired off an email.

How does it work, though? I never thought it was possible to get lower pings by using a proxy service?

If I understand the concept correctly, your international internet traffic is routed via a high-bandwith line (read fat pipe) as opposed to being routed via the highly congested (and port depriortised) line Telkom/SAIX assigned to ADSL users. Your traffic reaches international servers faster, resulting in lower pings. Or something like that.

Hi

Firstly. I am busy making arrangements to sell ADSL accounts, should be ready soon, hopefully by the end of the month. I plan to incoperate the Nocap service into that and give a very competitive price. Also Im not sure about XBox, this will need to be tested.

Yes Martin you are correct. The new server is basically on one of the main backbones and has a very large capacity and a very fast ping rate. All of it is of course in the test phase, but i believe it should work well.

At the moment i am getting a few users to test it and we will go from there.

Thanx

<br />Solar, how did you manage to get 52kb/s on Kazaa when its a 256kbps service(with user ratio). 256kbps maxes out at 32kb/s.(256/8)
Also, if lets say 50 users(its a 100:1 ratio at R99) should be using the 256kbps, that means speeds of 5.12kbps(0.64kb/s). Im trusting most of the people that buy this, are GOING to use it to their full ability. Isnt that just a little slow, or am I mistaken?

Hi

Yes. The server for gaming needed some adjustments. I have kept every one that has requested a test account in a list and as soon as its ready, i will mail the details. Just want to make sure it set up correctly.

Thanx

TEST all warcraft international servers not just us east. Mayb one of the other 3 will provide better pings, despite what people might think

How does the capping work? Does my bandwidth gety 'eaten' if I surf only local sites, or does it get used regardless of the websites. The reason why I ask is if I'm subscribed to nocap and I enable it only for let say downloads, for example, will by bandwidth be used?

Hi Everyone

There has been a slight delay concerning the Gaming Server. Firstly the Proxy did not function properly as it could not support all the ports needed. What i did then was go over to a VPN solution. The gaming server is situated in JHB and while i was installing the new routing software remotely, it locked me out. So now i have to get a tech out there to modify some setting to get me back up and running again. I am sure all these things will be sorted out this week and i will then send out the logins.
If anybody needs more info please contact me, and i will explain further.

Frankwas, Yes your bandwidth gets used for any activity on the net. All counts towards your 3Gig cap.

Thanking You
Jason
