yeah I want the R99 option purely so that I can browse and maybe get the odd download off an ftp server, I can download all my other stuff locally...

Maybe get the R99 option working nicely and then I'll subscribe to it :)
 
I think what Jason is proposing is fair for everyone. Those who are currently on the R99 option and use P2P may get a bit irked but chances are their download speeds aren't that great anyway if the bandwidth is so saturated. Your alternative is to purchase extra ADSL accounts which will quickly exceed R299 if you're a power P2P user.

Our new system has improved substantially. All Local Traffic is now 1/1, only international traffic is shared freeing up a lot of bandwidth. The new setup is quick and easy, which uses an automatic script to set everything up.

The gaming side of things still needs work. I got the extra server setup for it, during server browsing pings are low but as soon as the game starts there seems to be a hicup. Most users have informed me that during game play pings jump from 300ms to 3000ms. This as you can guess is not good for gaming. Not all servers do this but it still happens so I am working on it, but have put it aside for the moment while i made changes to the main servers for browsing and downloads. I will update everyone on the gaming server as soon as there is a change.
Wnbc : The isp accounts are on the saix backbone (only ones available at present) so its basically the same as everyone else.

hmmmm, that sounds formiliar. When I was on uninetwork that use to happen. The wireless connection Im on now seems to give me the same ping in game as out of them(cmd)

Hi guyz I got a question for Jason at the I'm using telkom ISP they allow 2 users per account with the ISP package ur offering can I do the same thing.... ? I'm not referring to the proxy side of thingz.

So does that mean if the you included the ISP that there is no cap internasionally?

Also, do you have options without the modem as most people already have modems?

What will happen to the existing people using nocap?

Is that R999 per month for 6 months or is that R999 for 6 months ;)
R999 is a bit steep, any lower options still viable for p2p, also how does your accounts get affected by port prioritizing (Will emule work at full speed?)

I am not including the the cheaper options as i have had a lot of people who (sorry to say: )wanted a free ride. I am very interested in creating a community based company where there is comunication between clients and services offered, that is why i have always included what im doing on the forums.

Don't you think these new pachages are a bit to expensive. i think the average person with ADSL at home can afford R1500 including his Telkom and ISP at the most.... Now were talking 850 + 150ISP + R800 = R1800. bit high dont you think... At R299 it was very afordable but now its a bit steep.

This is what it would cost for the standard package including line and ISP:

R700pm +/- Telkom Line Rental (home user)
R399pm Nocap Standard + ISP Login and 3 email accounts.

1099pm All inclusive.

If you have an ISP account you can still get the packages at R200pm for standard or R800 for business Package.
The R299 package basically became the R200pm package. I will try to make the site more descriptive.

I was also on the R299 package and was going to evaluate going to the R499 package.
Now there are two options. The R200 or R800 package. I don't think that I can afford the R800 package. Wouldn't it be possible to have a R500 package in the middle somewhere. The only reason why I have ADSL is for emule and Kazaa...(Naughty Me).
Will Kazaa and Emule still work properly with the R200 deal.
I also think that the six months contract and admin fees are a little much.
I have been very Happy with nocap but as a small internet café I am on a budget.

I had already worked out a middle package. 10/1 for R699 including ISP.
I was just waiting for more bandwith again. So this will be available in about the next 2 or 3 weeks if all goes well. I did not want to offer it till i have everything in place.
Once a peson is signed up its easy for me to upgrade the account and you wont have to pay an admin fee or anything like that to upgrade just give me a call and i will do it.
So stick around and it will happen.

PS. must admit you're one of the most active users on nocap, you're connected all the time. :)

I pay 1449 per month for a 24/7 unlimited account, not because I thought I'd be super dooper l33t and get myself a 512k account from sentech on the get go, it's because I can afford it.

So, to all you losers out there crapping in their panties because of pricing etc, go to your mommy and suck on her for all I care. If you can't afford it, go back to dialup!!! With some restraint, you'd be able to have a nice 400 rand per month phone bill
 
To noone - that's not very friendly - actually somewhat nasty, even though it might've been meant to be funny ha-ha (black humour?!). I don't think you have the right to dis those who must spend their limited incomes carefully, and push for the best deal possible. Even if you can afford it, there are others who can't, but are nevertheless willing to sacrifice and fight as best they can for the sake of an optimal service within the reach of their pockets...
