For those who ordered from Nedbank Avo, are you sure you are going to get your consoles tomorrow? It sounds like my extra controller and play and charge kits are only coming next week.
Luckily I ordered the console itself from Takealot.

It was shipped last week already, so yep. Tracking shows that it is ready to go out for delivery...

Cool, if anyone wants to share, I'll probably only have something to offer after (next) black friday.
I got a random EAZYT***** tracking number via SMS, and it made sense that it could only be this. 5 Minutes later I was speaking to a random girl in an office, that actually recognized my order destination based on the orders she packed/saw on the floor and confirmed my order from memory. She mentioned the xbox and the controller(s), so I'm quite sure it is being shipped out together?

Maybe I just got unlucky with the controllers. Mine hasn't shipped yet. I contacted them about it because the order said delivery by the 7th of November and a guy phoned me and said it will be shipped this week and should only get to me next week.

When did you order? They might've put priority on the xbox orders though. Another possibility is that Avo (did you contact Avo directly?) have no idea what is going on at the distribution level. When I contacted Avo they gave me the same story about orders only shipping this week.

Almost in the same boat - I'll be adding it to the network and AV ""setup"", and I am 99% sure that the kids won't even realise it is there. The idea is to keep it 'hidden' till the exams etc are over.My wife wants me to wrap it for Xmas day

As a newbie to the console world, any suggestions for the first few games to try out? I don't really care for the genre, just want something to jump into. I'll be doing the whole Xbox gold + upgrade into gamepass tonight as well

Single or multiplayer?
Something like Red Dead Redemption 2 is great way to start if you like immersive single player games, although not technically next-gen it still looks amazing. I'm also a big fan of the Tomb Raider reboots especially Rise of the Tomb Raider. Most of the other single player games on my list are Playstation exclusives though.
For multiplayer I must say Modern Warfare / Warzone are definitely one of the best arcade shooters / battle royale I've played, it's lots of fun if you have mates to squad up with.
