R2.7k for the 1TB PS5 expansion (Wootware) and R4.4k for the Xbox (BT Games). For R4.9k you can get a 2TB drive for the PS5 which I'd personally prefer. But yeah, PS5 took a vastly more pro-consumer approach to storage expansion. I suspect that Seagate is making a similar margin but paying a hefty royalty to Microsoft.
Thanks to Game Pass Ultimate I think the economics still work out in Microsoft's favour. And MS should get a few points for still using regular AA batteries in their controllers. They're so much more convenient. Just swap them out when they're low, no need for cables ever and recharge them separately.
There's nothing wrong with the Wi-Fi in the Series X as far as I'm aware. Using the network test tool I get 500Mbps without issue, although my console is wired up so I don't care.
My biggest issue, by far, with the Series X has been the download speeds. They are rarely above 150Mbps and often more like 60Mbps. It does my head in.
Nintendo, Sony, Valve, Epic, Ubisoft, Rockstar, EA etc. do not own their own cloud platform and yet can provide downloads at your max line speed almost always. Somehow Microsoft, who own and use Azure for Xbox services, cannot manage the same. What in the actual F is going on.
